Sunday Worship
Presider: E. David Choi Preacher: Rev. Cam Clausing Please stand where indicated by * WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS CALL TO WORSHIP [Based on Psalm 106:1-5, ESV] Read bold aloud together 1 Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! 2 Who can utter the mighty deeds of the LORD, or declare all his praise? 3 Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times! 4 Remember me, O LORD, when you show favor to your people; help me when you save them, 5 that I may look upon the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance. SILENT CONFESSION Let us continue to draw nearer to God by confessing, repenting and bearing of our hearts before our loving Heavenly Father. Be transparent and earnest, bringing the offering of broken and contrite heart before the Lord who knows us better than we know ourselves. He is more willing to forgive than we are to repent! (Silent Private Prayer) ASSURANCE OF PARDON In Christ, our sins are covered! Hear the good news of the forgiveness of your sins! Romans 8:15-17 “15For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. PRAYER OF ADORATION (Presider) CONFESSION OF FAITH (TRINITY HYMNAL) Wk.29 – Trinity Hymnal #367 – “The Lord will come and not be slow" (Confess aloud altogether bold as a Believing Congregation) 1 The Lord will come and not be slow, his footsteps cannot err; before him righteousness shall go, his royal harbinger. 2 Truth from the earth, like to a flow'r, shall bud and blossom then, and justice, from her heav'nly bow'r, look down on mortal men. 3 Rise, God, and judge the earth in might, this wicked earth redress; for you are he who shall by right the nations all possess. 4 For great you are, and wonders great by your strong hand are done: you in your everlasting seat remain the Lord alone. *SONGS OF PRAISE <Children's Bible Story Time> OFFERING PRAYER & INTERCESSION (Peter D K) To help you think about your level of giving, here is the financial snapshot of HCC for this month: Giving: 9th July - 15th July = $3,587.60 Total July Giving = $10,753.68 Sydney Space Balance: $195,024.60 Monthly Giving Target: $30,000.00 General Tithes & Offering VS Sydney Space Offering These are two separate HCC accounts (BSB: 082 057). The Bible gives us an enduring principle of tithing of our gross income as the baseline for the Christian’s worship through giving (2 Cor 9:7; Malachi 3:8-10). If every church member gave 10%, we would have enough financial resources for all the gospel ministry God is calling our church to do. Let the Spirit guide you in all final matters.
