Third Grade Visit the Boston Tea Party Third grade has been studying events leading up to the American Revolution. As part of this curriculum, they visited the Boston Tea Party. Our students learned that Phillis Wheatley's book was on one of the Tea Party Ships. Phillis Wheatley was an internationally known African American poet in the late 1700's. How did her poems/letters influence the American Revolution? As a Haggerty 3rd grader!
Music Corner Ms. Susie our new music teacher in the 3rd and 4th grade! By Oli Y., 3rd grade Ms. Susie has come to Haggerty to take and replace Ms. Lilly, our old music teacher. Ms. Susie went to the chorus with Mx. Irvin to see how things worked. Ms. Susie taught 3rd grade during social studies, they were learning about American History. Ms. Susie taught 3rd grade and 3rd grade taught her. Ms. Susie knows all kinds of songs, she knew one about King George and his stallion. Ms. Susie now teaches 3rd and 4th grade music class. Wednesday, June 7th (Early Release Day) | 12:15 - 1:15PM Every spring, families celebrate the teachers and staff who make the Haggerty School a wonderful place to grow and learn by sending in food for them to enjoy as a staff luncheon together.
