It's that time of year again when everyone is setting new goals and resolutions, and the Y isn't any exception. This year, we're setting even higher goals for ourselves to make sure we're always going above and beyond our potential. Did you know that setting goals with your child is a great way to boast self-confidence, achievement, and growth? Even setting easily managed goals like making your bed each day, or eating a balanced breakfast can help kids feel a sense of accomplishment first thing in the morning and set them on a path for success for the remainder of the day! We're challenging you and ourselves to set some goals this year! Shooting for the stars is stellar, but for these goals, make sure they're manageable. Once you decide, share them with us so that we can cheer you on, and celebrate with you when you succeed! Don't worry, you got this!

THANK YOU!
It's a New Year already! We are excited to see you when program starts again on January 7th!
As the new year begins, children may have questions about difficult news or the growing presence of artificial intelligence. At the YMCA, we encourage families to have open, age-appropriate conversations that focus on listening, reassurance, and critical thinking. Our programs help children build emotional awareness, ask thoughtful questions, and use technology responsibly. For additional guidance, the Fred Rogers Institute offers practical tips to support these conversations and foster resilience. QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS?
WE'RE SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE!
We were so excited about the visit from the Natural History Museum of Utah and it was such a great experience. The kids learned about the Ice Age, ways fossils are created and why making a cast of the fossils is so important. We loved seeing the sizes of all the different fossils. We can not wait for our next adventure with the Natural History Museum!
happy new year from the y!
January 19th is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will be closed but that week we will celebrate our dreams to make the world a better place for all!
