Summer may be coming to a close, but that doesn't mean the fun has to stop! In our Afterschool Programs, our goals are simple: Provide a safe, inclusive space in which all kids feel welcome and like they belong here. Keep learning fun! Our games, activities, and daily routines are all designed to support the school day in the most fun way possible. To instill the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility in all that we do. As parents, you've entrusted the Y with your most precious thing. We don't take that lightly. This month, we're excited to highlight one of the activities we'll be participating in that combines both art & science: Fizzy Art. Using baking soda, vinegar, & a little imagination, our afterschoolers will be making unique pieces of art that will introduce them to the world of chemical reactions!
