EDMOND CENTER COURT
The USTA Missouri Valley Junior Team Tennis Section Championships held at Edmond Center Court & Oklahoma State University's Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center for providing courts after we experienced rain on day two proved to be an unforgettable event, embodying the true spirit of tennis with sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication taking center court. The Oklahoma teams, fueled by passion and determination, demonstrated their prowess and sportsmanship on and off the court, ultimately emerging victorious in both age divisions against fierce competition from the 7 Sections across Missouri Valley. The exceptional leadership of Missouri Valley's Tara Williams and their impressive performance at the District JTT Qualifiers secured their well-deserved spots at the championships. Another commendable aspect of the Oklahoma teams' success was their display of exemplary sportsmanship. At the completion of each team match, each coach nominated 1 boy and 1 girl in the 14's and 18's from the opposing team as their sportsmanship selection. On and off the court, three young athletes from Oklahoma demonstrated respect for their opponents, officials, and fellow players. 18U Championship 1st place: BCCTA Bears Coach: Brad Lund 2nd place: Greens Country Club Coach: Tim Shanahan 14U Championship 1st place: Tucker Tennis Academy Coach: Ellie Bailey 2nd place: OKC Elite Coach: Tyler Moore

T he Oklahoma Tennis Foundation (OKTF) Pro Tennis Series returns to the Edmond Tennis Center, Edmond, OK, and the Headington Family Tennis Center and Wadley Indoor Tennis Pavilion on the campus of the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. The Oklahoma Tennis Foundation Pro Tennis Series, a fan favorite, begins on October 4-5, 2024, with the OKTF Invitational. This year, in addition to the WTT $25K OKTF Invitational and the OKTF Norman Open USTA W35, the OKTF Pro Tennis Series has added a $60K (W75) women’s USTA Pro Circuit event, the OKTF Edmond Open, which will take place October 7-13,2024 at Edmond Center Court (ECC). Additionally, the Norman Open has added a USTA M25 event, October 21-26, 2024. Our facilities are a major draw for a select group of Oklahoma’s and the world’s premier professional and collegiate men and women’s tennis players. The OKTF Edmond Open and the WTT Invitational take place at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) 2022 National Facility of the Year, Edmond Center Court. The OKTF Norman Open USTA W35 and M25 events take place at the Headington Family Tennis Center and Wadley Indoor Tennis Pavilion on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. This is a facility that was ranked among the Top 10 in collegiate tennis and is currently undergoing a $5 million upgrade. just a month following the conclusion of the US Open, marks the first ever women’s $60K (W75) professional tournament to be held in the State of Oklahoma, and is certain to feature some of the best up-and-coming players inside the top 100- 250 in the WTA world rankings, from the USA and around the world. “We are extremely excited to bring Oklahoma’s tennis fans a premier women’s USTA Pro Circuit $60K (W75) in the OKTF Edmond Open,” said Bill Towler, Founder and Chairman of the Oklahoma Tennis Foundation Pro Tennis Series. “We look forward to welcoming many of tennis’s rising stars to Edmond, Oklahoma, and watch as many go on to compete on the Grand Slam stage.” “Providing these elite players with access to one of the USTA’s premier facilities to compete in is something we take great pride in and validates the City of Edmond, OK, commitment to build one of the United States exceptional tennis facilities,” said David Minihan, Tournament Director and Director of Tennis at ECC. “This gives our members and tennis players from throughout Oklahoma an “up close and personal “ opportunity to watch in person what top level tennis is all about. “The Oklahoma Tennis Foundation is dedicated to bringing the JOY of tennis into all 77 counties of Oklahoma. Our Scholarships, Grants & Free Hall of Fame Tennis Clinics help us continue to make a difference in Oklahoma tennis across our state.” said Carmen Bond, Executive Director, OKTF. “We are thrilled to host our 2nd Annual OKTF Pro Tennis Series and encourage all of you to come join us at what promises to be exciting & competitive tennis!
