In providing the services described above we may collect personal information relating to you such as:
In providing services to our Client, we may receive or process personal information about you that may be considered special category (or “sensitive”) personal information (special category personal information is considered to include information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data or sexual orientation). If you choose to provide such special category information to us (for example, as part of your responses to specific questions we ask you), you will be required to provide your clear, umabiguous consent prior to completing the survey in order for us to process it for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement. You will also have the option to not answer questions or withhold your personal information from us.
Introduction
This Privacy Statement applies to Deloitte Consulting Pty Ltd (also referred to as “Deloitte”, “we”, “us”, and “our”), an entity within the Deloitte organisation. As used in this Privacy Statement, the “Deloitte organisation” refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, a UK private company limited by guarantee (“DTTL”), its global network of member firms, affiliates and their related entities. DTTL and each of its member firms are legally separate and independent entities. This Privacy Statement sets out how we will process your personal information as part of providing services to World YMCA/Y Australia (our “Client”). This includes any personal information that you might provide through your use of the“Youth Meaningful Work”survey, which we may use to assist in the provision of those services (“Global Meaningful Work for Young People Project”). The services that we provide to World YMCA and Y Australia aim to help them develop their Meaningful Work pillar as part of their Vision 2030 Strategy, including the development of materials that will be used internally within their organisation, as well as externally with other organisations, governments and agencies. Your personal information will be protected and handled with consideration for its confidentiality and we will only disclose it as set out in the “To whom will we disclose your personal information?” section below. In this Privacy Statement, we refer to handling, collecting, protecting and storing your personal information as "processing".
This Privacy Statement explains what personal information we may gather about you and how we may use and share your personal information in relation to the “Youth Meaningful Work” survey being run as part of the Global Meaningful Work for Young People project, run jointly by World YMCA, Y Australia and Deloitte. This Privacy Statement also sets out your rights in relation to your personal information and tells you who you can contact if you have questions.
How do we use your personal information?

This personal information can be received in any manner, including in-person discussions, telephone conversations, and electronic or other written communications. Where another party (e.g. World YMCA or Y Australia) provides your personal information to us, they must also comply with their obligations under the relevant privacy laws and regulations. If you would like more information about the details or what personal information World YMCA and Y Australia holds about you and/or you have questions about how World YMCA or Y Australia processes your personal information, then please contact such entity directly.
You may provide it directly to us through your use of the “Youth Meaningful Work” survey in the ServiceNow Platform; We may obtain it from World YMCA and Y Australia (our Client) in order to provide our services; and We may observe or infer it from the information you provide to us and/or the way you interact with us.
We will not ask you at any point in time during the “Youth Meaningful Work” survey for your name. All information you provide will remain anonymized at all times. If you choose to answer a free text response option throughout the survey, a Global Meaningful Work for Young People project team member will review your responses. Should your response be deemed to have personally identifiable information in it (including, but not limited to, the inclusion of names or other contact details, specific descriptive characteristics or details of people, places or events, or any other information that can be linked to you or someone else through your responses or demographic information), your response will be deleted and not included in future analysis.
Deloitte processes personal information about you to: Contact you about the “Youth Meaningful Work” survey, including sending you communications about the survey using personal information, such as contact email or phone number, that you have provided to the World YMCA or Y Australia through their mailing lists; and Provide World YMCA and Y Australia with trends and insights into the opinions and experiences of the respondents to the survey through the use of your aggregated, anonymised data; and Use aggregated, anonymised data to inform the development of materials for the Global Meaningful Work for Young People Project, some of which may be made publicly available (including, but not limited to, other third party organisations such as governments and local and multinational agencies and not-for-profits); and Use your de-identified data for longitudinal analysis for up to 7 years following the completion of the survey, including to inform benchmarking for future World YMCA, Y Australia or other YMCA member projects and materials (such as reports, publications, press releases and other correspondence) as they arise, some of which may be determined following the completion of the Global Meaningful Work for Young People Project We may also use your personal information in limited circumstances for the purposes of, or in connection with: Compliance with applicable legal, regulatory or professional requirements; Protecting our rights and/or property.
How do we collect personal information?

This Privacy Statement sets out the grounds upon which we rely in order to process your personal information. Depending on the jurisdiction in which you are located, we may use your personal information for the purposes outlined above because: We have your consent to process your personal information (including special category information) as part of your agreement to participate in the survey; or We have a legitimate interest in processing your personal information, which may be to: Support the management of our service engagements; or We are subject to legal, regulatory or professional obligations.
We will only disclose anonymised information about you at all times. If you provide any personally identifiable information (such as through free text responses), we will delete this information and not include it in our analysis. Where we choose to release certain free text responses you have disclosed in the “Youth Meaningful Work” survey, we will ensure you are not able to be personally identified in your response. All other data releases from multiple choice selections will be aggregated so as not to identify any respondents. In connection with one or more of the purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement, we may disclose your personal information to: World YMCA, Y Australia, and other YMCA members; Other members of the Deloitte organisation; Business Council for Tackling Inequality; Competent authorities, including courts and authorities regulating us or another member of the Deloitte organisation, in each case to comply with legal, regulatory or professional obligations or requests; and Platform provider, vendors and administrative support, infrastructure and other service providers handling your information on our behalf; in each case, such vendors and service providers will be contractually bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations consistent with the obligations in this Privacy Statement. We may also release your aggregated, anonymised personal information as part of our project materials to the general public, which may also include governments and government agencies, public and private organisations, and not-for-profit organisations. In all instances where data is public-facing, it will be aggregated and anonymised. At no time will we release personally identifiable information to anyone not listed in the groups mentioned above. Deloitte does not sell or lease your personal information to others. Please note that primary storage and data analysis of your personal data will occur in Australia. Following analysis, World YMCA and other YMCA members may receive de-identified and, where possible, aggregated data to maintain your confidentiality at all times. Where there are not data protection rules similar to those in effect in your area of residence, appropriate safeguards will be in place to protect your personal information. To whom will we disclose your personal information?
On what basis do we process personal information about you?
We hold personal information in electronic formats. We use a range of physical, operational and technological security measures to protect this information. These measures include: Staff education and training to ensure our staff are aware their privacy obligations when handling your personal information Administrative and technical controls to restrict access to personal information to only those people who need access Technological security measures, including fire walls, encryption and anti-virus software Physical security measures, such as staff security passes to access Deloitte premises, laptop locks and the use of privacy screens where appropriate.
What are your rights in relation to your personal information?
Prior to completing the survey, you will be asked to provide informed and unambiguous consent to us processing your data for the reasons outlined in this Privacy Notice. By providing your consent and submitting your response to the “Youth Meaningful Work” survey, you are confirming that you have understood how your personal information will be used as outlined in this Privacy Notice. As your information will be anonymised at all times for the purposes of our analysis, we will not be able to withdraw your response once it has been submitted, as we will not be able to identify your response. However, we may still retain a copy of the relevant information for as long as is necessary to comply with applicable laws or professional standards, or as long as the period in which litigation or investigations might arise in respect of our services. How do we protect your information?
As your information will be anonymised at all times for the purposes of our analysis, we will not be able to withdraw your response once it has been submitted, as we will not be able to identify your response. By agreeing to take part in our survey and providing us with your consent, you agree that your answers will not be able to be withdrawn at any time. If you wish to refrain from providing us with any personal information, you may skip or choose to not specify your information in our response options.
The personal information you provide in the “Youth Meaningful Work” survey will be retained for up to 7 years following the completion of this survey, for the purposes of longitudinal analysis. Any retained personal information will be de-identified and aggregated where possible. After the Global Meaningful Work for Young People project concludes, ownership of your de-identified data will be transferred to Y Australia to retain for the outlined 7 year retention period. We may modify or amend this Privacy Statement from time to time. To let you know when we make changes to this Statement, we will amend the revision date at the top of this page. The new modified or amended Privacy Statement will apply from that revision date.
