GMDI is the primary professional organization for dietitians working in the field of genetic metabolic nutrition. The mission of GMDI is to provide standards of excellence and leadership in nutrition therapy for genetic metabolic disorders through clinical practice, education, advocacy, and research. GMDI members are leading practitioners in nutrition therapy who have joined together to identify education and training needs and to develop standards of practice in this highly-specialized field. Membership provides opportunities for professional education and research, as well as networking and peer support. The biennial GMDI Educational Conference is a major educational event for members and other health care professionals (HCPs) who share an interest in the treatment of children and adults with genetic metabolic disorders. The conference, which is held every other year is an international meeting bringing together dietitians and HCPs from across the US, Canada, and many other countries. The program provides attendees with a broad range of learning and opportunities through plenary sessions and workshops as well as opportunities to share research and practices, and to network.
The conference will be held at the Union Station Hotel 1820 Market Street St. Louis, Missouri, USA
We estimate that approximately 400-450 dietitians and other Health Care Professionals will attend the 2026 GMDI Conference.
