Action Magazine 2024
It all started with Take Action Apparel & Gear. With first-hand knowledge that bullying has become a serious epidemic in schools across the nation, Gabriel L. Silva wanted to help give kids like him a voice! "I was a victim of repeated bullying. I am small for my age and kids would make fun of me for my size. Eventually, the verbal turned physical. I know that not everyone is going to like me, and I am actually okay with that. But disliking and mistreating someone physically, verbally, or emotionally for basically being different and not taking the opportunity to get to know them for who they are, is not okay. I had an opportunity to travel to LA for pilot season, when I came home, I found out that three of my friends had had an even harder time than I did at school. I knew what they were feeling, but I was helpless to help them. I wanted to do something. So, we got together with a group of experts and some really cool designers to create Take Action Apparel & Gear." Fast forward through time, and as a result of Take Action Apparel & Gear, Action Magazine was born, giving a worldwide platform for both adults and kids in the industry, who are passionate about taking a stance against bullying, a place to share their stories. Effects on children that either are the bully or that are being bullied go well beyond the school day and sometimes last a lifetime. Students who are bullied sometimes resort to suicide and the bullies often find themselves incarcerated by the time that they are adults. "Action Magazine is a great way to showcase amazing talent within the industry, while at the same time, giving them an opportunity to let kids know that they are not alone and help them to feel empowered. I found my voice through acting/modeling and practicing Tae Kwon Do, I stopped focusing on the negative and was able to discover the positive in me. If we help just one by sharing our stories, then Action Magazine is doing what we have created it to do."

What are five things that you can't live without? Christmas in November, Snapchats to my best friend, Whole Foods, Jackbox games, and the Santa Monica farmers market! What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? Follow your dreams and keep trying! When things aren’t working, shift gears and try again. What's your favorite color? Blue! What is your favorite movie? I feel like it changes, but at the moment I’ve been rewatching a lot of Rom-Coms, so I would have to say How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days! What is your favorite TV show? There are so many! But I’m really looking forward to the next seasons of YOU and The Last of Us. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? I have two dogs from childhood that live with my parents. They are Toy Poodles named Sam and Cinnamon. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? Paris! I’ve been twice, both times with my grandmother, and it’s been some of my favorite travel memories. The shopping, the food, the history - I love everything about the city! What is your favorite food? I’m a vegetarian and Mendicino Farms used to make this amazing vegetarian Ruben sandwich, so for a while, it was that! I really hope that they bring it back. What made you want to start acting? I started acting when I was seven doing youth theatre, and it was so much fun hanging out with the other kids and learning songs and dances. My love for acting only grew from there! What is the most difficult thing about being an actor? It would have to be sending in self-tape (or “at home”) auditions on short notice. Sometimes we only have a day or two to memorize a lot of dialogue, film the audition, and send it back. But it’s always really fun and exciting when I do get an audition, especially when I feel like I’m a great fit for the role! How do you prepare for auditions? I start by reading the entire script and doing as much research as I can about the project and its team. I memorize the script and make sure to pay a lot of attention to any action lines. I also pick out wardrobe options that lend themselves to the character, which helps me to feel more like the role, and get in the character’s headspace. If you could write the perfect role for yourself, what would it be and why? I would love to be in a series or film based on a YA novel. I would also really love to do an A24 film similar to Booksmart. Or a limited series like Little Fires Everywhere, The Act, or The Girl from Plainville. Many may or may not know, that you did voice-over for the Golden Globe winning film Argentina 1985. What was it like to work on a project that has received so many accolades? Dubbing on Argentina 1985 was such an amazing experience! I had no clue at the time, how much recognition the project would receive, but I could tell from the bits and pieces that I got to see before it was released that it was going to be an amazing film! Seeing billboards pop up around Los Angeles during awards season was so exciting - I’m so grateful I got to be a small part of such a huge project! In addition to acting, what other things are you passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is important? I’m really passionate about the Thirst Project. They are a national organization fighting to end the global water crisis. It’s amazing what a few college students with $70 were able to accomplish, and it really proves how much of a difference we can make if we just decide to take action. How would you describe your fashion style? My day to day style tends to be very casual and laid back. I wear a lot of minimalistic basics, somewhat like a capsul wardrobe. But I also absolutely love going to events and dressing up - any chance I have to show of my personality through wardrobe is really fun! What advice would you give other kids that want to break into acting? I would recommend that they check out local acting classes or youth theatre! It’s a great place to get started and to figure out if you like acting. I would also guess that there would be a good community of parents there that could give advice more specific to where you are located! Who would be your dream on-screen collaboration and why? I would love to play opposite of Reece Witherspoon as her daughter. I’m also a big fan of Bryan Cranston and Viola Davis, so working with either of them would be a dream too! Have you ever been bullied? Yes, when I was in middle school. It was right around the time that kids started getting cell phones, and a lot of parents didn’t know about cyberbullying and how to prevent it. Middle school girls can be mean, especially over text! What is your advice to kids who are suffering from bullying? Tell a parent or trusted adult, things will get so much better when you aren’t going through it alone. And remember that when things are tough, it’s only temporary, and it will get better! If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell her? I honestly don’t think I would ask my future self anything - part of the fun of life is the journey, and knowing the future would probably just make me anxious.

Dubbed early in his career as the "little charmer," Luke Speakman's magnetic personality and undeniable range of evoking laughter and then switching to big emotional scenes has led to an impressive resume at a young age. At just 5-years-old, he shared the screen with Victoria Pandretti in Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories on Apple TV +. Seen on networks such as Peacock, NBC, HULU, Disney+, QCODE Media, and INSP, Luke also appeared in a Short Film with Blair Redford that was featured at the 2023 Mammoth Film Festival and starred in Howl at the Dead which premiered at the 2023 Screamfest LA Film Festival at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Luke has worked with notable directors such as Keith Powell and Mark Mylord, and talent from all over the world on multiple feature films, television series, and voiceovers. Luke's most recent project, Lost Man Found (Hirowareta Otoko), where he plays series regular Sean, was filmed in Tokyo, Japan and can be found on HULU International Originals, Disney+ Japan, and Disney Hotstar. Born in the small town of Athens, GA, Luke currently lives a bi-coastal life between Atlanta and Los Angeles. His love for travel and joy for meeting new people only grows with each new acting adventure! Action Magazine had the pleasure to catch up with this extraordinary young person to find out more about his world. Check out his answers to our staple game of Q&A. And of course, as always, don't forget to follow him on Instagram, you won't regret it!
What are five things that you can't live without? The very first thing that I know I could not live without would be Kit Kat Bars - the absolute best candy ever invented; my bike so I can ride around the neighborhood and meet up with my friends; my baseball glove because I have had it for so long that it has molded perfectly to my hand and ready to catch any ball hit my way; my travel chess kit that I take on every single acting job to play during my breaks and challenge the cast and crew; and the last one will probably surprise you, but it is my stand up mixer! Yes, it is mine! I love to back and that mixer comes in very handy when my cookie dough needs a good mixing! What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? Well, there is a motto that my family believes in and tries to live by: There’s enough space on this earth for everyone to shine. Basically it means that everyone deserves the chance to be awesome at something and to be celebrated for it! Being a child actor I have learned that not every role or opportunity is made for me. I might not be the best choice or have the skills needed at that time and that is OK! I try to celebrate and encourage the kid that did end up booking that role because he or she deserves it! What's your favorite color? Definitely yellow. It is really the best color. Anytime you want to brighten up your outfit, room, or even mood: find something yellow! I promise it works every time! (Yellow is also my lucky color!) What is your favorite movie? Right now I am really loving Big Hero 6. There is just something about Baymax that I just love! He is the model of how to be a good friend. He is a good listener, kind to others, helpful and willing to do anything to protect Hiro! The entire movie has so much heart that you can’t help but love it! I also like the action scenes too. I think if we all could treat others the way that Baymax does, the world would be a better place. What is your favorite TV show? I usually go back and from from Ultimate Beastmaster and Storm Chasers. I train weekly to compete in American Ninja Warrior youth competitions and am always amazed by the athletes that compete on Ultimate Beastmaster! I have watched every season and episode so many times I can predict exactly what will happen! Also, since I can remember, I have always been fascinated by the weather. I have downloaded as many radars as I could fine onto my iPad and I spend a lot of time tracking severe storms around the United States. Being an actual storm chaser one day would be a dream come true! Maybe one day I will appear on both shows! Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? My family loves dogs! So much so that we have 4! One dog for each kid! My dog is named Sir Golden Waffles and he is a Golden Retriever! In my opinion he is the best of the four, because he likes to swim with us in our backyard pool! My older sister has a rescued Pit Bull mix named Gracie and my older brother has another rescue named Cheddar. We are not quite sure what Cheddar is mixed with, but we do know that he is a master at opening door knobs and snatching food off the table! Finally, the baby of the bunch belongs to my little sister and is a Teacup Yorkie named Pumpkin! I promise you it is never quiet at our house! What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? The best part of being an actor is getting to travel to different locations! One of my favorite locations was Tokyo, Japan where I filmed Lost Man Found! If you have never visited this city, you should! I had so many new experiences! One of the coolest spots was Takeshita Street which has everything you could dream of! I drank a smoothie at a pup cafe and played with all the puppies, got cotton candy two times the size of my head and had the best sushi ever created! Memories for a lifetime. I also enjoyed exploring Missoula, Montana while filming for the series Into the Wild Frontier! We filmed up in the mountains and everything was so beautiful. I spent a lot of time skipping rocks on the most crystal clear river I have ever scene! I am usually in cities, so being fully surrounded by nature was amazing! What is your favorite food? You can always make me smile by giving me a Dunkin' Donuts’ Strawberry frosted donut with sprinkles! I can eat one of those any time of the day if I was allowed! If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? I would have to say Neil Armstrong. How cool would it be to meet and chat with the first astronaut to walk on the moon? I would want to know about every little detail of the journey! I also would ask if I could try on his spacesuit and see if he could sneak me a moon rock! What made you want to start acting? Well, I was barely 5-years-old when I started acting! My parents say that I was always full of personality and never met a stranger (this is still true today). However, the real reason they decided to start me into acting classes was to help find a way to channel my huge energy and big emotions. I am a very sensitive kid and when I was really little I sometimes had a hard time figuring out how to express what I was feeling. Acting helped me understand my emotions and learn how to use what I was feeling to make something new! In acting, I have a space where deep feelings and energy is needed and valued and I am at home. There are no words to describe how it feels to know you are doing what you were made to do and how fortunate I am to have discovered my passion at such a young age! What is the most difficult thing about being an actor? I think the most difficult thing about being an actor is having to tune out all the distractions going on around you while you are working on set. I had to learn to block out the fact that a camera could be right next to my face with probably 10 people standing behind it along with the boom mics and other equipment. Luckily I learned how to do this pretty quickly! If I find myself getting distracted and. not focusing on my character during a scene, I take a moment to close my eyes and take a deep slow breath. This helps calm my brain and get me in the zone! How do you prepare for auditions? Preparing for auditions depends on what type of project it is for. I try not to over prepare because I like to be in the moment for each audition. However, I do like to memorize my lines and understand the story. I start by just memorizing the words without any emotion. It usually doesn’t take me long. For some reason, line memorizing has always come easy for me. After I have it down, I then focus on reading the rest of what is given to me and try to create an idea of who I think my character is and how and why the character reacts the way he does. Sometimes this is easy and sometimes it takes time depending on how complex of a story I am given. After all of that, I then go to tape. I try to come to each taping free and open to what I feel in the moment. I don’t over rehearse and plan out every single moment of my audition because I want it to be real and natural. I think this makes for the best results! After taping, I send it and forget it, and begin again on the next opportunity! The industry is full of rejection. What is your advice on how to handle it? We always say “the only guarantee as an actor is being told no” and it is VERY true! Understanding that being told “no” is going to happen and it will happen a thousand times more often than being told “yes”. I think the best way to keep the rejection from bringing you down is to not look at an audition as a booking opportunity but instead look at each audition as a growing opportunity. You will either win or learn, there is no loose. You might not book the job but you did gain something from the experience and that is just as important! You have had many wonderful roles. What has been the one role that you relate to the most? Honestly this is actually a pretty hard question to answer! For some reason, most of the characters I play are either little boys who are sad, lonely, and angry or evil ghosts - none of these describe me! But if I had to choose the character that I feel is the most like me, I would choose Jay from Howl at the Dead which premiered this year at the 2023 Screamfest LA at the TCL Chinese Theatre! Jay and his dog have a special bond and will do anything for each other. I too have the best dog in the world, Waffles, and we are best friends! I won’t give away any spoilers, but the bond between a little boy and his dog is at the heart of the film and is at the heart of my actual life! If you could write the perfect role for yourself, what would it be and why? I think the perfect role for me would be one that calls for stunt work and deep emotion. I recently worked on a movie, Coal River (releasing soon), where I was able to perform some of my own stunts for the first time. Stunt work was challenging but so rewarding! I also love to tackle characters that require deep emotions to portray. I enjoy the challenge of digging deep and figuring out why the character is feeling or behaving a certain way and then deciding how to show this on camera! So I guess the perfect role for me is one that truly challenges me to push my boundaries! In addition to acting, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? One organization that my family and I support and work towards helping is called Two Thumbs Up. This program works to provide social opportunities for children and adults on the autism spectrum. We feel very connected to this cause because my little sister is on the spectrum. Claire is my best friend and we are only 15 months apart in age! When we were little, I was the only one who could understand her when she tried to communicate. I became her “translator” and that made us very close. I want Claire to have the same social opportunities that I do, and Two Thumbs Up does a great job at helping with that! Our family hosts events to help raise funds for the program and recently hosted a huge Red Carpet Premiere for the United States Hulu release of my show Lost Man Found where all ticket sales were donated to Two Thumbs Up! Claire was our VIP guest and even presented the check to the organization representatives! We hope to do even more for Two Thumbs Up in the future! Stay tuned! Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? This is actually a hard question to answer! I look up to so many different actors an actresses for so many reasons! But if I had to choose just one, it would be Chris Pratt. I love how his sense of humor lights up a scene in everything he does! He also is successful in many different types of projects, which is not easy for an actor to do! You can find his work in TV, film, and even voiceover projects! I always know that if I see Chris Pratt listed in the cast, then this project is going to be worth watching! How would you describe your fashion style? I think my fashion style depends on where I am going. Most days you can find me sporting some good ole comfy athletic shorts (even when it is cold), a t-shirt and my bright yellow zip up hooded jacket. I like to top it off with a bright blue or red baseball hat depending on my mood that day. Finishing the look is always my red tennis shoes that are perfect for climbing, biking or running. I am ready for anything in that outfit! Now, when the time comes to dress up, I make sure to DRESS UP! My outfit is picture perfect from head to toe and will always fit the vibe of any event I am attending! I love walking down the red carpet in a perfectly fitted pant and jacket finished with a big bow tie or my trusty Micheal Jackson Jacket styled with khakis or jeans! Who are some of your favorite actors that you have worked with? One of my favorite actors to work with was Uli Latukefu on the set of Young Rock. I could not believe how much he looked like Dwayne Johnson! He is also an amazing actor! We spent our time during takes practicing raising our eye brow like The Rock. Definitely a memory I will never forget! While filming the Hulu Original/Disney + series Lost Man Found, I had the opportunity to work with Japanese actor Taiga Nakano. Taiga was like a big brother to me the entire time! We filmed in Michigan and then got to film in Tokyo, Japan! I was lucky to have many scenes with him and many of them were on a baseball field. We spent a lot of time playing catch on our breaks. I found it easy to perform our scenes because our characters are friends on screen and we are friends off screen! I also enjoyed sharing the screen with the legendary Doug Bradley on The Exorcists. I have so much respect for actors and actresses that have been in the business for as long as he has and enjoyed watching him collaborate with the director and make his character come to life! So much is learned by watching experts and I had a the one in a million chance of watching and learning from him! What advice would you give other kids that want to break into acting? The number one advice I would give other kids wanting to break into acting is to remember it is a marathon and not a race! You can’t compare your journey to another kid’s acting journey. It takes time and a lot of training to start to see results and even then, sometimes, you might book a bunch of jobs in a week and then nothing for the next three weeks! Remembering that the acting journey is like a roller coaster full of ups and downs, sometimes it is fast and sometimes it is slow is the best way to keep your thoughts positive and focused on your goals. Who would be your dream on screen collaboration and why? This one is easy! I have always wanted to work on an action movie with Dwayne Johnson! I absolutely love the movies that he makes! They are funny, full of action, and tell a great story! Being able to use my ninja warrior skills while sharing the screen with The Rock would be this 10-year-old’s dream come true! What is one thing that nobody knows about you? One thing people might not know about me is that I love to play the piano! If I see a set of piano keys, I have to play something! I take weekly lessons with one of the best piano teachers in Atlanta named Dana Rice with Dana Rice Music. I love to challenge myself by trying to learn to play new songs just by listening to them and figuring out what notes to play! Got a song you like? Give me a week or two and I will learn to play it for you! Have you ever been bullied? I have! I think most kids have one way or another. One of the times that hurt me the most was during baseball. At the beginning the season, I started to learn to pitch. I was very new but the pitcher was getting very frustrated with me for not striking out the batters. He was so mad that he started calling me nasty names and making fun of my throwing skills. I was so embarrassed. I was also hurt because the he was supposed to be my friend. Eventually our coach came in and paused the game so that we could have a little chat on the field. In the end my friend apologized and we moved on, but I can sometimes still hear the names he called me tucked away in my brain each time I walk to the pitcher’s mound. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? The one thing I would tell other kids is to remember that hurt people hurt people. This means that a person who has had their feelings hurt in some way most likely are the ones that are going out and hurting other people’s feelings. I try to remember this when I am being bullied because it sometimes causes my response to the bullying to go from being upset to actually feeling sorry for the bully. By taking control on how you respond, you take away your bully’s power over you! And you never know, your kindness might just rub off on the bully! If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell him? If I could talk to my future self, I would make sure I still went on travel adventures! I would also remind my future self on all the beginnings of movie ideas that are stored on my iPad! This way, while I am chasing tornadoes, I can work to finish off the movies I started as a kid! You never know, 20 years from now those ideas could be the next big blockbuster!

So hard to choose just one, but a couple of my favorites are The Princess Diaries and the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy! What is your favorite TV show? Another hard question, but I can never get sick of Lizzie McGuire, Boy Meets World, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Sister, Sister! Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? Yes, my husband and I rescued our dog Maximoff (named after Wanda Maximoff from Marvel!) back in February 2021! He is a Labrador Retriever mix. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? I’ve really loved Santorini, Greece - it is such a beautiful place to visit and definitely has the best sunsets! I also really love Tokyo - everyone is so incredibly kind and I love how much they love pop culture like I do! What is your favorite food? I love Sushi! If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? I would love to have dinner with Taylor Swift! We’re almost the same age and I admire her drive and passion in the industry. I think she’s a smart businesswoman and super savvy, and I love seeing how much she’s accomplished and will continue to achieve throughout her career! She also has such a big heart for her fans and it’s one of my favorite things I adore about her. How did you get started as an content creator/YouTube/TikTok personality? I started my Instagram account over 7 years ago. I loved dressing up for my trips to theme parks and one of my really good friends encouraged me to share my outfits on Instagram. She told me that I was really talented and needed to share it with the world. I was a little hesitant at first, but she told me, “You never know where this could lead!” and I’m glad she did. I’m so grateful for all of the amazing opportunities I’ve been able to be a part of because I decided to give all of this a go! What is the hardest thing about doing what you do? I think the hardest thing is trying to do it all! I balance content creation while working a full-time office job, and even though there is so much I want to do, more times than not, my office job has to come first. I also find it hard to make sure I get enough rest! Tell us about what types(s) of content you produce? I produce a lot of photo content with the help of my husband who takes 98% of my photos, as well as short form videos for TikTok, and weekly vlogs for YouTube. Keeping “real life” and “content creator life” separated is difficult. How do you do it? It can be difficult, but I am generally a very private person, so while I do share a lot with my online community, I usually don’t share much about my loved ones on social media as those are important boundaries for me. Who would you say is your target audience? My target audience includes people who love pop culture, entertainment, theatre, and nostalgia, as well as those who are always looking for something fun to do in Los Angeles! As a content creator/YouTube/TikTok personality, what has been your favorite video that you have posted to date. Why? I don’t know that I have a particular favorite piece of content I’ve produced, but I always enjoy getting to visit real-life filming locations and dressing up as characters from my favorite movies and TV shows. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? One of my current favorite actresses is Lana Condor. I think she carries herself with so much beauty and grace, and I love that I am able to see myself represented when I see her on the big screen! When I first watched To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, I really resonated with her character Lara Jean, and I loved that the story wasn’t so much about her being Asian; rather, it was a more universal story about teenage love that happened to have a main character who was of Asian descent. This kind of representation is so important and made me feel seen and understood. How would you describe your fashion style? My fashion style is very colorful and fun! I’m very inspired by 80s, 90s, and early 00s fashion and it’s been fun getting to reinterpret trends from those eras and modernize them for today. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into being a content creator? My biggest advice for aspiring content creators is don't give up! Consistency and persistence is key, and it's also super important to know why you're doing all of this because it's so easy to get lost in the shuffle of numbers and external validation. I think as long as you stay true to who you are and your "why," you'll be able to keep going and achieve your dreams. Who would be your dream collaboration and why? I feel truly blessed that I've had so many amazing opportunities to work with many of my dream brands already, but some of my dream collaborators that I have yet to work with include: Royal Caribbean (my husband and I love cruising and we’ve been longtime members of Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society), Gold House (I’d love to find more ways to uplift and create space for the AAPI community in the entertainment industry), and getting to do coverage for big events such as the Grammys, the Oscars, or the Met Gala (it’s always been a dream of mine to interview the celebrities on the red carpet)! Have you ever been bullied? Yes What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? You do not have to go through it alone. Find good people to surround yourself with, and while it can be scary to speak up, talk to someone you can trust about it. Your voice is needed in order for change to happen. If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell her? I would tell my future self that I’m so proud of her and all that she has accomplished, and that I hope she’s taken some time to reflect and appreciate all of the amazing people and opportunities that got her to where she is.

I think it’s so fun especially if you have your friends or family there. Have you ever been bullied? Yes What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? Most kids that bully you are going through something much worse than you. Don’t take it to heart and remember the best way to overcome evil is with good. If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell him? I’d tell him that Jesus loves him just as much as he does right now.

What are five things that you can't live without? Dr. Pepper, my blankie, sparkles, TV, and musicals. What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? Good witch, bad witch, hey I'm flexible! What's your favorite color? Pink and orange. What is your favorite movie? Wreck It Ralph. What is your favorite TV show? I have sooo many! But a favorite hidden gem would be United States of Tara. It stars ToniCollete, Brie Larson, and Keir Gilchrist (my Atypical costar). Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? My parents have a doggie named QT after Quentin Tarantino. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? I live in my favorite place in the world, New York! But I loveee Paris and Amsterdam as well! What is your favorite food? Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? This is hard because there are so many people in this world who I admire. But right now, I'm going to say Miley Cyrus. I have loved this girl through every phase of her career. I really love the Happy Hippie Foundation and all her values. I would just love to be friends with her and talk all things music to mental health. What made you want to start acting? When I was 4, I saw a show at a children's theater in the round. I loved it so much because I could go on the stage at intermission. My mom saw how much I loved it, and I auditioned for their very next show, "The Wizard Of Oz". I haven't stopped acting since. What is the most difficult thing about being an actor? Getting comfortable with endless rejection. How do you prepare for auditions? A lot of work goes into it. I always like to read the full script of the project before I even read my character's sides. This way, I get an idea of the tone before I develop my own opinion on it. I love finding the right outfit for my character because it helps me live in the body of who I think that person is. The industry is full of rejection. What is your advice on how to handle it? I treat every audition as an opportunity to perform. After it's done, I try to forget about it. When I get a callback or booking that's a pleasant and exciting surprise, because I never expect it. You have had many wonderful roles. What has been the one role that you relate to the most? I'm lucky enough to have portrayed Mama Cass who was a real person. I have so much in common with Cass Elliot from our dreams and aspirations, to the way we were treated as plus size women. I love her and would love the honor to portray her again. If you could write the perfect role for yourself, what would it be and why? I love melding my favorite mediums of film and theater. The perfect project would include some sort of musical aspect and the role would be larger than life. In addition to acting, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? I'm very passionate about mental health and body positivity! I am one of the founding members of a non profit called Kid In The Corner. Our mission is to shatter the stigma around mental health and provide support to those in need. We believe that through education, kindness and community connection, we can help change the story for the next kid in the corner. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? Jim Carrey. He's inspired me my whole life with his voices and over the top facial expressions and physical comedy. How would you describe your fashion style? Funky, colorful, and comfortable. Who are some of your favorite actors that you have worked with? Michael Rapaport and Margot Robbie are two highlights. Michael is so funny and smart. We share many of the same values and have a similar sense of humor. Margot is so kind and genuine and is a GIFT to watch work. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into acting? Go to the theater, watch TV, see movies! Find what you love about certain behaviors you see and try to do them yourself. Experiment with characters on a daily basis. You can be whoever you want to be and it will ultimately help you figure out who you truly are! Who would be your dream on screen collaboration and why? People have always said I remind them of Bette Midler. It would be tremendously cool to work with her.She is definitely someone I look up to a lot when it comes to career goals. What is one thing that nobody knows about you? I’m pretty much an open book. Have you ever been bullied? Unfortunately, yes. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? Just know that you are enough and that the bully is acting that way because of their own feelings of insecurity. In return, "kill'em with kindness" as they say. Refute them by asking if they are okay. If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell her? Don't wait for your perfect project. Create it yourself! It's never too early to start writing down ideas. And on that note, I am currently working on a one woman show called "Too Much Of A Good Thing!" It will be going up at FRIGID NYC in April! You don’t want to miss it!

Action Magazine caught up with this phenomenally talented young woman to get to know her a bit better. Here are her answers to our Q&A! Stay tuned on Instagram for what is coming up next!
What are five things that you can't live without? In no particular order I would say: My sister Kate, my parents, Chapstick, music, my teddy bear (I’ve had it literally since birth) What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? It’s hard to narrow it down into one thought, but for right now at this moment in my life, I would say I’m living with the fact that with everything I do, I need to trust myself, because all the answers I’m searching for already lie within me. Nowadays everyone seeks outwards toward external figures for the answers to their problems, but I really believe that having faith in ourselves and doing our best to find the answers within us is the key to a successful and happy life. What's your favorite color? Gold is my favourite, and if you disagree with it being a colour, then I would say blue, like the colour of a tropical sea. What is your favorite movie? La La Land by Damien Chazelle What is your favorite TV show? This is so hard, I would say favourite comedy is New Girl, and favourite drama is Suits. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? Back home in Toronto my family has a golden retriever named Oakley, he’s the cutest dog you will ever see. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? There’s still way too many places I want to visit, but for now I will say Maui, Hawaii. The most peaceful and beautiful vacation experience i’ve had so far, and the surfing was incredible. What is your favorite food? It’s a tie between pasta and Sushi. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? If I could have dinner with anyone in the world, it would be Margot Robbie. She is one of my biggest inspirations as an actress, and as a woman with her own production company finding stories to bring to life. She also seems like the brightest and most fun person to be around, and she’s a cancer like my sister so I know we’d get along! You are a multi-hyphenated entertainer as an actress, dancer, musician, and aspiring filmmaker. Let’s start with acting, what made you want to start acting? I’ve always loved storytelling. I’ve done it through writing, poetry, dance, and music. Acting was always something in the back of my head but I never really dove into it until the pandemic. The study of acting is like the study of life. It’s so much more than learning lines and rehearsing scenes. Acting provides this never ending - never satisfying journey of discovery of the human race,so there’s never a plateau in the learning. I’m so interested in how my brain works, and how everyone operates on the psyche level. I’ve also been very competitive my whole life, often with myself, and acting has really pushed me to evolve the way I think, which is so challenging but so rewarding. And once you reach a level, there is always more to discover, you’re always on to the next. You have had many wonderful roles. What has been the one role that you relate to the most? I find a way to relate to all of my roles because once you become that character, you understand their actions. So I would say all of them are close to my heart! Next, let’s talk about your music. Tell us how you got started singing. You have a long list of instruments that you play. What is your favorite one? I joined the school choir when I was in the first grade, and since then I’ve always had an ear for music and harmonizing practically any tune I hear. It has always been a therapeutic past time; learning a song I love in my room, singing with my friends. I think my favourite instrument to play is the guitar, specifically the electric. My friend that I live with in LA has the most beautiful blue electric guitar and I get so excited every chance I get to play it. The guitar is also very easy to play when covering any song. Most songs require similar or the same chord progressions so it’s easy to learn on the guitar and sing along! What is your favorite genre to sing and why? What is one genre that you haven’t tried yet, that is on your list to tackle? I love singing ballads and indie pop, and I have been meaning to get better at my freestyle rap. But more seriously, I just love learning songs that resonate with me, whichever the genre! Lastly, you are an aspiring filmmaker. Tell us how you got started behind the camera. When at film school in New York, I had filmmaking and screenwriting classes that truly pushed me into the world of creating my own work and I loved it. It’s always scary to try something new and put yourself and your story out there, but there’s no greater feeling than seeing your heart and vision come to life before your eyes. I am grateful that school gave me the opportunity to create and direct my own work. Without that, I don’t know if I would have done so many of my own short films or written as many scripts as I have today. Where do you find inspiration for your film projects? What’s the one“ah-ha”lesson as a filmmaker that you have learned to date? Inspiration always strikes when I least expect it, and whenever it does I try to immediately write down my thought in my notes or via voice recording. An idea always starts from within though. It is your own personal interpretation of the world and everything unfolds from that. One lesson that being a filmmaker has taught me is always know what you’re trying to say, while simultaneously letting your idea flourish however way it wants to. A professor at school would always tell me that your film is one thing in it’s script version, another when you’re filming it, and another when you’re editing it. Allow the little deaths and rebirths to occur in your story, there’s never a final product, and that’s the beauty of it. In addition to all that you do, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? I have always loved supporting the rehabilitation of our oceans and marine life. I feel so connected and at peace by the sea, and I want to preserve our bodies of water for the generations to come. I grew up doing marine biology camp, and continue to support ocean wildlife through charity such as the David Suzuki Foundation and Surfrider. I also support Plan Canada and their Because I am a Girl foundation. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? My favourite actors are Uma Thurman, Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie, Natalie Portman, Ryan Gosling, and a hundred more but I should probably stop there. I love them all because they’re so fearless and versatile, two traits I strive to be like in my acting career. How would you describe your fashion style? My life and all the places I’ve lived have influenced my style over the years. My style is a mix of NYC street style and California living. I love a classy and elegant yet youthful and vibrant look, but it really is all over the place. My dance background and my current pilates obsession definitely inspires my everyday look, but also you can never go wrong with a blazer and a good pair of jeans. Who are some of your favorite actors that you have worked with? I loved working with Jordan Gavaris and Julia Stiles on The Lake. They’re both so talented and great leaders on set. Jordan is the kindest and most professional human, and Julia was such a treat to watch act, she is so fearless and entertaining! What advice would you give other kids that want to break into the entertainment industry? Always remember why you’re doing it. Patience and resilience is key, but also an extreme passion and love for the art is the fuel that keeps you going. And always remember, being yourself is your biggest superpower. Who would be your dream collaboration and why? My dream directing collaboration would be with Greta Gerwig or Damien Chazelle. I’ve resonated with their work so deeply, and I just know I would learn so much from both of them. I would love to collaborate with fellow Gen Z actresses like Jenna Ortega or Sadie Sink. They’re both such powerhouses and it would be so fun to play on set with them! What is one thing that nobody knows about you? When I was little I wanted to be a professional skydiver. Have you ever been bullied? Totally, but it wasn’t the stereotypical teenage bullying that comes to mind. I’m sure many girls and boys can relate to the fact that bullying can exist in the form of manipulation, isolation, and gaslighting that can be so subtle, even you don’t notice what’s going on at first. Growing up at a dance studio I’ve been blessed with many long term friendships, but not everything was smooth sailing, especially before I was a teenager. It sucks but I believe there are upsides to every situation. I learnt so much about myself and other people through dealing with bullying. It’s helped me protect myself from those situations in the future, and has improved my ability to read people. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? If you are experiencing bullying, first, please know that you are not alone. Also, bullying is never an act targeted at another individual, but a reflection of their own insecurities and frustration on that individual. I find it’s best to just rise above and ignore, because without your reaction, the person inflicting the bullying has nothing to work for. Yet, when the situation is causing serious pain and trauma, talking to an adult is the right choice. Never avoid this confrontation even if it might be scary or vulnerable, because no one should be going through this alone. If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell her? I would say “you’re welcome for setting you up to be so awesome.” haha

In addition to radio and the red carpet, you also are the CEO-COO for The Global Movement Studios LLC in Los Angeles. Tell us about your studio and what made you want to start your own? The Global Movement Studios LLC is a CHRIST CENTERED Foundational Film & Television Distribution Corporation whose sole assignment, vision and purpose is the creation, the design and the distribution of CHRIST CENTERED Foundational films, short films, commercials with a red-pill paradigm where we fully endeavor to peel back the layers of religious deception that has been saturated in history - even through European Renaissance Artwork: I felt the great Call of GOD on my life along with our staff to build a Faith-Based Studio that will reveal truths that have been secret and covered for centuries and presenting CHRIST not through any color or ethnicity - but to present CHRIST in a way that will stretch the minds of audiences all over the World - thereby their minds will never go back to it’s original form and shape of thinking. What have been the one project that you are the most proud of and why? The one project that I’m most proud of is the total transformational of my thinking in surrounding myself with well qualified men and women who are seasoned and experienced experts in the fields of film creation, content design, directing, executive producing, film & television writing, marketing and global distribution. What would be your dream project to distribute and why? Great Question! My dream project would be to create, design and distribute a major documentary entitled The Assassination of History that would eventually be made into a major motion picture. The Assassination of History reveals that for the past six thousand years the entire history of what we’ve been taught has been a lie - especially through historical art and education. In addition to all that you are doing, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? I’m so very excited to officially announce that The Larry Gaiters Foundation will be officially launch on January 1st, 2024 that will serve as a Global Philanthropy Foundation to help the next generation achieve their GOD-given dreams, talents and gifts so that they too can change the entire World in the 21st Century and beyond. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? My favorite actor is Mr. Denzel Washington because he, according to estimation, is the only actor that forces me to become the very best that I can be - and rest is the greatest threat to progress for this generation and beyond. My favorite actress is Betty Davis because from her first movie, Bad Sister in 1931 and her last one in 1989’s Wicked Stepmother, is on such a level that few if none are able to operate on to this very day. Ms. Davis’ ability to portray both victim and victimizer is second to none. How would you describe your fashion style? I have two fashion designers - one here in Hollywood and the other one in New York City - design my suites, ties, shoes - including jackets working with my optometrist also here in Hollywood who designs my eye wear to match the very color of each suit I have. By nature I’m a very meticulous man who believes the total excellence in everything I do and were because I’m representing THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST in this generation and beyond. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into the entertainment industry? My advice and wisdom to young people - including anyone who wants to break into the entertainment industry is to FIRST "Seek The Perfect Will of GOD" to make sure that this industry is actually for you. Number two - Go to college, university and apply to get into a school of journalism so they have a strong foundation through education that will place them in a position to succeed! Lastly: Work hard because hard work works! Never think like a victim because you are not a victim - so never think, act or live like a victim. No one owes you anything! Who would be your perfect business collaboration and why? Great Question! The perfect collaboration is with my good friend Hollywood actress Ms. Kathryn Hollis-Peters where we are working together in creating The Global Master Class Television Talk Show. Kathryn and I work so well together as a powerful team - and she fully understands the vision and the scope of helping not only Hollywood - but the entire world to discover the roots of their historical pain and trauma. What is the one thing that nobody knows about you? Another Great Question! I absolutely love "Shakespearean Philosophy" as well as the writings of both Alexander Pushkin and Niccolo Machiavelli. Have you ever been bullied? Yes! When I was 10-years-old - three of my fellow classmates in elementary school beat me up and smashed my little box lunch. I was beat down by my three so-called friends did not bother me - but what really bothered me was the fact that they destroyed my box lunch - where people would often ask me why would a box lunch bother you? My answer to them is always “because my mother prepared it”. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? Let your parents know what is going on - including letting your school officials know what is going on as well so the situation will be addressed and the bullying will stop. If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell him? Another Great Question! Stay the course! Stay locked into your assignment & purpose in building not only the most powerful television talk show ever - but also the most powerful influential Hollywood studio ever envisioned and seen in its history. "The best is yet to be - the last of life for whhich the first was made."

What are five things that you can't live without? I start everyday with a cuddle from my dog, so there’s that - can’t live without him. He is such an integral part of my life. He’s a huge thing in life that keeps me going and offers so much endless love and support and happiness in my life. Dog cuddles are the best. I start the day with the sun peering in and immediately need my Google Home to play music, so then there’s immediately music. It gets me up, it puts me to sleep, it pumps serotonin euphoria through my brain. Whether it’s picking it up on any given Sunday or making it at home, I am a huge coffee girl. I love caffeine. My favorite drink is a Dirty Chai with an Espresso shot and Oatmilk. Arguably, I also don’t think I could live without Oatmilk. Lol. I was vegan all of middle school and most of high school, that dairy is a huge ick for me, just like drinking straight milk. Idk I love Oatmilk. My literal 3 friends. It’s so crazy but I’ve reached a point in my life where I have 3 best friends. I couldn’t live without those girls. I used to have so many different friend groups throughout Los Angeles, but tough times show real people and I couldn’t live without my 3 girl friends and my mom, brother & family. What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? One of my favorite quotes of all time is Shoot for the moon, even if you fail you’ll fall amongst the stars - it’s one of my favorites because it inspires the principle to chase your dreams even if they seem too big or out of reach because even though doing that you’ll end up where you’re meant to be. I also started living by the principle of this quote I personally made, Life is short it passes in a blink, so do what you love, forget what they think - because it’s so important to realize how much thinking about or caring about what others think holds you back in life from doing. You’ve got to learn to let go. You’re not living this life to confine yourself to the lines of what make’s others happy, it's your life to life. Make sure it’s a good one. (of course - doing what makes you happy shouldn’t include anything that brings harm to others.) What's your favorite color? My favorite color is Gold. Haha I’m a Leo, I feel like I’m drawn to anything with a sunny disposition and gold falls into the spectrum of yellow which is similar to the aura the sun emits which is bright and beautiful but it falls under regal tones, which can be color that inspires also. I know for me personally being around regal environments helps me aspire to reach new heights and accomplishments in life and wanting to bring that to others. What is your favorite movie? Big Fish - Wolf of Wall St - Catch Me If You Can - Endless Love - The Last Song - The Notebook - “rincess Diaries”- & Fight Club. Watch them all & you’ll see why. Also, my favorite Disney movies are Tangled, Finding Nemo & for a favorite Christmas movie, Just Friends hahahaha & of course, Elf. Add these to your list of things to watch you guys! Also, Happy Holidays! What is your favorite TV show? Gossip Girl is my comfort show. I relate to a lot of that show with many similarities in my life growing up in LA and a lot of friendship dynamics in my life. I’ve had a lot of similarities to the character "Serena Van Der Woodsen" in my life - whether you view that as good or bad, you know, I don’t need to know. But I have highly just experienced a lot of triumphs with friendships and life events similar to hers. It’s really an entertaining and comforting show to see for me. So if you see me watching Gossip Girl reruns, especially during the holidays, don’t judge me! But yeah - I’ve had a bestfriend similar to her friendship with Blair, having to dim your light, passive aggressive comments, overcoming unforeseen hardships, things with my parents, my dating life, trauma I don’t want to remember and etc. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? Yes! My dog is my best bud and my son. My dogs name might as well be “HANDSOME” cause I call him that 8 times a day hahah, at least! He’s the cutest. I have no idea what breed he is. You can find pics of him on my social media or Instagram Highlights @Cindyesterling. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? Barcelona & Bali. I want to own a property/rental in both of those places. DO your research and you’ll see why. I am also Spanish & Indonesian - so these places hold such a beautiful significance to me of places that exist in the world. What is your favorite food? Brazilian. I love acai & Brazilian cheese breads. Those get me through most days. Of course, though I love Italian, French and Mexican food. Sushi is also a favorite. I LOVE all foods honestly, just NOTTT good with spicy food - like AT ALL. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? Don’t want anyone to come at for how generic they might think this sounds because of course they’re both extremely famous & legendary - but Taylor Swift & Lana Del Rey. I want to hear about their life experiences. It would just be crazy. There could potentially be a lot for me to learn from them through these life stories too. What made you want to start singing? Haha I’m not sure. I sing everywhere I go. I’ve seen in security cameras me singing in every room I’m leaving or walking into which is pretty funny to see since I just saw that of me recently when checking security cameras of mine. Aside from that, I sang running up the stairs growing up and pretty much everywhere. My mom started making me do voice lessons and stuff at home and I entered every theatrical or artistic class you could think of since then like choir, etc. What is the most difficult thing about being a musician? Everything. It’s not an easy life path. Instead of being happy being an accountant, you have this underlying desire to do and create all these things where it keeps you up at night. Your zest for life is at such a high caliber as well as far as what your soul feels like it needs to experience in order to be inspired to write. Some people may view that as too much to deal with or understand. It’s a life path where you’re funding projects, aside from whatever other side hustle you have going on. - So not being financed can be hard as you’re balancing a lot of hats. Unless you do get invested into, which would be incredible because you can do that more with less worries about the financial side. I think in large, a hard part of being a musician is also just feeling so much more than others sometimes, especially those that write their own music can feel this way. To be a musician can also be a case where you are often misunderstood. However, this is why our art is purposeful. Our schedules also conflict with a lot of people so it can be hard for other people to understand our way of living, so hopefully every artist/musician starts to slowly surround themselves with people who are understanding. Our souls need it. There’s lot of levels to it. You are also a songwriter, where do you find inspiration for your music? I find a lot of my inspiration in life and conversations or interactions with other people and memories that are developed and unlocked as a core experience I want to storytell or convey in sound so that it lives forever. What do you hope people take away from your music? I hope my music comforts, awakens and inspires people who are listening to it. You have a new project, “Roxbury Romance,” tell us about this project? It’s my very first album, one that encompasses a lot of emotions regarding my youth, finding myself, finding my voice and finding the strength to walk my own path and follow my heart and see how life unfolds. In one word, how would you describe your sound? I’m not sure; different. My friend Tommy said it reminds him of Euphoria, like the HBO Hit TV Show with Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and Dominic Fike haha. I think that’s so crazy because people used to party at my house and someone would yell out “Euphoria!” from time to time. We also did heavily wear Euphoria type makeup at the time for fun. In addition to music, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? It’s not something I do too much of now but I would like to be put in the position where I could do that more. Light things I’ve done for charity are donate Christmas gifts to children and feed the homeless and donated food to churches who disperse that amongst people who need it as well. I’ve also helped take care of horses at horse ranches. However, one of the biggest forms of charity or giving back I’ve always wanted to do was to create a Hospital in Indonesia - whether that’s specific to Bali or elsewhere. The first time I came back from Bali I noticed there were alot of workers in the hospitality industry, but not enough dentists which you can see in the teeth of Indonesian people and their lack of that available to them when you speak to them. It would stimulate the economy as well with more jobs. Which would be incredible. I even built a 3D Model of one I would build when I got back home - however I just don’t have the resources for that now, but that’s something INCREDIBLE to give to the planet while here on Earth, that would bring a lot of meaning to life for me if I could do that. Who is your favorite musician and why? Ahhh, I simply have too many favorite musicians to list one specifically, honestly. I love music period - whether that’s Indie, Rap, Pop, House Music, Country, etc. How would you describe your fashion style? I just like to dress however I want, whether that’s tomboyish, baggy, girly, posh, etc. I love fashion. One of the cruelest things I think you can do is a lot tell someone how they can and can’t dress, which I experienced with someone I dated very briefly in the past. That really messed with my mental health as I would see something I wanted to buy and wear and got sad because I couldn’t. Fashion is such a fun way to express a core part about yourself. You shouldn’t hinder that part of yourself & have fun with it. Who are some of your favorite musicians that you have worked with? I really adore Dowzy who’s worked on a lot of my music with him. You should check him out. There’s still a lot of artists I need to work with. Some of my first friends I ever co wrote with for fun when getting started and comfortable were my friends Jeremy Schmetterer & Jack Fargostein. They used to be part of a band called The Motel Brothers, where they made a sort of Pop/Rap sound which was so fun - and now they’re both doing their own thing and sounding great on their own! What advice would you give other kids that want to break into music? Do your thing, follow your heart, set yourself free getting lost in the sound & don’t care what other people think. Have fun with it! Who would be your dream music collaboration and why? At the moment I’m not sure. I think Billie Eilish & I would go pretty hard together on a collaboration. Would love to work with her. Seems like we’re both pretty silly with a deeper side. Our singing voices would go pretty crazy in a song together, would be pretty cool to perform with her. Ya, I think Billie. What is one thing that nobody knows about you? There’s a lot - I guess you’ll have to get to know me! Have you ever been bullied? Personally, I have had people attempt to bully me with snide remarks or condescending actions but I never stood for it or allowed it to go further. There are definitely levels to who I am - I am nice and sweet but I can definitely cut things off where they need to be cut off and put an end to things. I didn’t grow up in this plush and soft way, I’ve had to go through some pretty horrific things and grow up pretty quickly. I’m not going to let some little kid or person even in highschool or adult life or anywhere think they can or have the right to mess with me. It’s of course important to be kind and compassionate, but you have to draw the line at showing people how they can treat you. You teach people how to treat you by the actions you accept - right? In dating, friendships or anything that you have to really show people, Hey! That’s not alright. You can not treat me this way. I understand getting bullied is hard, but you have to be strong and push back - it’s a matter of owning the respect for yourself. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? You have to stand up for yourself. My colleague next to me said, “Punch them in the throat.” hahaha. I’m not going to say whether I agree with that or not and I don’t want to encourage violence, but I think the reason he says that is because nice people often get taken advantage of. If you don’t stand up for yourself people will walk all over you. You’ve definitely got to show people - look, you can’t do this to me. Whether you learn this now or later… It's definitely something to learn. If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell her? Take things a little more lightly. Not everything is as serious as you can let them get in your head, try not to overthink, or you’ll drain the happiness right out of your soul. Sing and dance a little more into every room you walk into, bright light and joy - because, yes, this world is dark. But that’s even more of a reason to have fun where you can, as much as possible!

With influence from artists such as Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Nessa Barrett, Clairo, Girl in Red, Dominic Fike, Blackbear & Halsey. What are five things that you can't live without? My phone (obviously), my family, God, my faith, and my Golden Goose shoe collection! What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? Don’t say I wish, say I will! What's your favorite color? Pink!! What is your favorite movie? The Notebook! I have watched it so many times and it never gets old! What is your favorite TV show? Gilmore Girls! Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? I have 3 cats! Seraphina is a Persian (my mom’s baby), Romeo is a Maine Coon, and last but not least is TT (short for TaterTot) she is a Persian munchkin! Some say she looks like a caterpillar. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? I’ve traveled to a lot of places and its hard to say which is my favorite. I am torn between Miami and NYC just because there is so many different things I love about both! They each have their different vibes. What is your favorite food? My favorite food is Mexican food! I could eat it every single day. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? I would love to have dinner with the one and only Dolly Parton! She is such an inspiration to me and I just adore her. I live in her hometown and she is always around. I just wish I could have the chance to meet her and tell her how much I look up to her. She has done so much for our community and she is such an amazing person. Maybe one day I will get to meet her! You are a model, influencer, and content creator, let’s get started with modeling? How did you get your start as a model? I started out at a very early age. Around 4-years-old I started doing photo shoots, which led to agencies, and then jobs and brands. My mom manages me and as a team we were able to build a platform for myself and throughout the years I just continued to grow and more opportunities presented their self. What is the one thing about being a model that was a “lesson learned” moment? One “lesson learned” moment that I had was at my very first fashion show. Always have enough heels when walking the runway! I had brought two pairs and my straps broke on both! That was a very stressful moment because my mom had to make it work and I was afraid my heel was going to come off ! As a model, what has been your favorite brand to work with so far and why? I have 2 brands that are very special to me. Varsity is a cheer brand that I've been apart of for 2 years. They have been absolutely amazing and I’ve met some very special people through the company. I have been an All Star cheerleader for over 10 years now and Varsity is the brand you definitely would want to be apart of. They are the best of the best! I’ve been truly blessed to be apart of the family and I will never forget the memories I've made with them. Krissy King is a brand that I started working with in July. I walked the runway for Krissy at Miami Swim Week and I was hooked on the brand immediately. The shows are so fun and everyone is so nice and makes you feel like you are part of the family. I started representing the brand and I am so blessed that I have this opportunity. Her brand is all about body positivity and uplifting young girls and women! As an influencer, keeping “life” and “influencer life” separated is difficult. How do you do it? I am very selective with what I share that is private since most of my life as an influencer is very open. I do have a private account that only a few are apart of so I can share all the silly quirky moments of my life. Its very difficult to mix the influencer life with your regular life but I make it work! I focus on my brands with my social media platforms and try not to add my personal life to those accounts. Some people post everything on their platforms and that is OK but for me I prefer to keep that side private! As an influencer, what has been your favorite brand to work with so far and why? As an Influencer I love working with a lot of brands and being apart of their projects. One of my favorite is Elevated Faith. I love the quality and what the company stands for. The company always spreads the love of God and really brings such a positive meaning to their brand. I have enjoyed working with them and their clothing and accessories are always so nice and the quality is amazing. How did you get started as an content creator? Tell us about what types(s) of content you produce? What has been your favorite content so far that you’ve posted and why? I started doing more content about three years ago with a brand I had started working with. Most was TikTok content and then that spread with Reels on Instagram. Now, I have a channel on Brand Army that I post tons of content. I post content of my brands, behind the scenes, photoshoots, try on hauls, makeup tutorials, and All Star cheer. My favorite content that I post has to be my photoshoots with my friends. I always have so much fun doing that and just being silly and being me! In addition to everything that you are doing, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? On days that I am not working or at the cheer gym, I like to give back to the community. I recently participated with Project I Am. Volunteers from across 17 states, 47 Cities, and 2 different countries came together to make Blessing bags to give to the homeless and people in need. I enjoyed being apart of this and giving back to my community. Also during the holidays I like to visit the retirement homes and hand out cards. I love seeing the joy on their face from just a simple gesture. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? I love Austin Butler, he played Elvis so well! He is definitely a talented actor and I can't wait to see him switch it up in different roles. How would you describe your fashion style? I love the comfy look! I usually am in my Alo joggers and hoodies. When I do go out I like to wear cute tops, loose jeans with my Golden Goose. It all depends on my mood and where I am going. My style can be very diverse. Who are some of your favorite fellow models that you have worked with? I absolutely love working with my bestie Natalie Grace. She is such a beautiful person inside and out and I am so thankful for the bond we share. I met her at a fashion show and we have clicked ever since. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into the entertainment industry? I always say follow your heart. Never give up on what you want and when things get tough keep pushing through. You may not get the first brand or job you want but being persistent and working harder will get you there. Also make sure you have great headshots that is a huge factor in the entertainment industry. Have reels , even hiring a coach or consultant and network, network, network! Who would be your dream collaboration in any arena and why? I would love to collab with Gigi Hadid. She is such a huge inspiration to me and she is such an amazing model. I would love to be able to get some tips and learn some things from her because I would love to be where she is one day! What is one thing that nobody knows about you? I have always been a flyer in All Star cheer. When you are a flyer you have to be very flexible to pull your body positions. I am not very flexible. A lot of people haven't believed me when I told them that ! I have a condition that causes me to not be as flexible so I have always had to work 100 times harder to get where I am at. It’s not been easy and I have to stretch daily so I don't loose any of the flexibility I have gained. Have you ever been bullied? Yes I have! It all started in elementary school then eventually my mom had to pull me out of public school. I have been homeschooled for a while now and I absolutely love it! Once I started getting big on social media, I started getting bullied on there also. Sometimes they would reach out to my brands to try and hurt me that way. I learned along time ago to stay positive and work harder. It actually gave me more drive to accomplish more things! I turned the negative into a positive! What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? I would tell them to keep your head up! It isn't easy being bullied and in these situations you must talk to someone about what is going on. Never try and cope alone. My mom was always there for me and she would give me advice and it was some of the best advice I could've got at that time. It made me stronger and with the negativity I turned it into positivity. One thing that stuck with me is hurt people hurt people. Bullies usually have been treated very bad and in return they do that to others. I feel bad sometimes for people like this because you don't know what they have went through in their lives to have this behavior. Just don't let hurtful words beat you down, surround yourself with positive people, try and stay calm and don't give in, always talk to someone for advice! If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell her? To keep being strong and positive and never give up when things get tough. Trust your talents and keep pursuing your dreams! Also to just live life and enjoy every moment.

What are five things that you can't live without? My phone! What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? Be yourself! What's your favorite color? Black! What is your favorite movie? All The Bright Places What is your favorite TV show? Euphoria Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? I have a dog named Sassy. She is a Chihuahua. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? Wyoming What is your favorite food? Anything that my mom makes, except spaghetti. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? Lana Del Rey because I really love her music and I feel like she has a lot of wisdom to share, I would also love to do her makeup for a video. You are both a filmmaker and musician. Tell us how you got started with both? I’ve always been pretty creative but music has always been a part of my life since I was little so it’s just another part of creative self expression for me. What is the most difficult thing about being a filmmaker? I would say that the most difficult thing about being a filmmaker is executing a story in the best way possible so that people love the story and feel connected to my characters in someway. What is the most difficult thing about being a musician? The most difficult thing about being a musician is coming out with music that is meaningful and fun to listen to. It can be hard to write songs like that but it’s worth it in the end because I like to see others happy when they listen to my music. How would you describe your sound? My sound is evolving as I grow, but right now I would describe it as relatable, fresh and fun. You have a new song out, “Life Without You,” tell us about this project. “Life Without You” is a song that I wrote and dedicated to my grandpa when he passed. It’s about living life with someone you love and going through the emotions of them being here one day, then gone the next day. Losing someone can be a hard process but this song is guaranteed to get someone through a hard time. Additionally, you have a new documentary out entitled, The Questions I Ask Dementia. Tell us about this project. Yes, The Questions That I Ask Dementia is my directorial debut short film that is based on my grandpa’s POV. My grandpa had dementia, but prior to his diagnosis he was mostly quiet. When he was diagnosed, I felt like a lot of things that he wanted to say was suppressed. I wanted him to have a voice again, because I was one of a few people in our family that truly knew him and I believe that doing social media with him along with making a film felt like the right way to do it. Not only did I help to give him a voice, but my film continues to help others who may not understand the disease. In addition to all of the things that you do, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? Makeup is my therapeutic outlet, allowing me to express myself creatively. I enjoy crafting characters that my supporters recreate or draw, making it a meaningful form of interaction. The artistry of makeup holds immense significance for me. Lastly, I love public speaking. One organization that I recently spoke to was the Alzheimer’s Association of Los Angeles. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? My favorite actress is Sadie Sink because she is extremely talented. Her performance in Stranger Things was beautiful and I really enjoyed watching her in The Whale. The way that she evokes emotion in her viewers is insane. I believe every word that comes out of her mouth when she’s acting. How would you describe your fashion style? I would describe my fashion style as Gothic some days but as urban, and comfortable on other days. Who are some of your favorite people in the entertainment industry that you have worked with? Honestly everyone. I learn something different from everyone whether it’s a good or a bad the experience. Everyone has a purpose in my life so I’m grateful for every experience. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into the entertainment industry? Develop thick skin, and move carefully. I can only say so much about that because the experience truly comes from being in situations and living in that life style. Also be careful with who you let around and make sure that you have some people who are “day ones” that you can count on. Who would be your dream collaboration and why? I would love to do Alexa Demie’s makeup for a YouTube video! I’m such a big fan of the show euphoria and she’s my favorite character. She also has great facial features, and she’s super pretty! What is one thing that nobody knows about you? Now that’s a secret, if I tell then you then everyone would know, LOL. Have you ever been bullied? Yes, I have been bullied and I believe that the life experiences that we have allow us to grow and learn. Our experiences shape us into who we are, and for that I’m forever grateful. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? My advice to kids that are suffering from bullying would be to pray for people who are misguided bullies, and if someone is bullying you, trust me, they have problems. When I see my bullies now, I realize that their mean spirit came from issues in their life, it never had anything to do with me. If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell her? I would tell my future self to always stay focused and to make sure to stay true to yourself. Forget what others think about you when it comes to your art and style because being yourself feeds your soul, uplifts your spirit and keeps your energy great.
