December 2023
Rebecca Grizzle President CEO
We have exciting news to share with you all, and we hope you will all join us for our celebration on December 13th. It's a secret that I'm dying to share with you, but we are obligated to keep a lid on it until then. It will be a great party though, thanks to Cindy Ongers and one of our newest members Christine Kulonis, who are hard at work planning this little secret party. See the flier in this newsletter for details and get RSVPed so that you'll be in the know as well. Our Business After Hours is going to be special this month as well. Gateway Imprints is hosting, which is always a great party on its own. But rumor has it that they are partnering with the Gillott Home Team for some sort of fun. Gillott is hosting the Greeters the next morning, and there's something special if you attend both. Don't hold me to that. I'm not in on their secret (only ours), but knowing how creative both of those teams are, you'll no want to miss out on either. I cannot stress enough how important it is that you all participate in getting us entries for the Distinguished Service Awards. Please take a moment to browse the categories and get us some worthy names of individuals and businesses. We all see people day in and day out who should be recognized, and it can't happen if we don't all take the time to help Lebanon's cream that rises to the top daily get nominated. I wasn't able to attend this year's tree lighting for Holidays in the Park, but I want to do a quick shout out to Dala Johnson and all of the people she tricks into helping with the cold task of readying Ralston Park. I had tried to get some leftovers from Hangry Solution after a wonderful Thanksgiving meal there, and their answer back to me was "We're closed today to help get the park ready for the tree lighting." How selfish is that? I know they felt bad for having deprived me, and later made a turkey sandwich to help satisfy my craving and make up for being so rude, but can you believe they put me through that? For Lebanon. These are the kind of people we need to be on the lookout for when nominating for the DSA Banquet. After they made me my sandwich. I'm closing this last newsletter out from Mexico. You don't have to hate me for it. I'm currently sick as a dog, but hopeful that eventually I will pull out of it enough to get some fun and sun in. I'll be back before most of you know I was ever gone though, and get through the rest of this rainy season alongside you all. Until then, hasta luego, and Feliz Navidad!
