NOVEMBER 2025
Members have been having a blast with Fun Day Fridays. For one Fun day Friday we got to learn how maple syrup is made and got to try some real maple syrup and made pancakes!

We have been able to utilize outdoor spaces during programming to get our members outside, moving and getting some fresh air!
School's Out Camp is open on November 26th - register at ymcautah.community/soc It's getting colder - be sure to pack warm clothes if needed, as we utilize outdoor spaces occasionally! Happy Thanksgiving, from the YMCA!

Our members got the chance to paint a pumpkin for the Botanical Garden event on Saturday, October 11th!
Did you know that, every week, our YMCA programs engage in activities designed to reinforce learning and lessons that take place during the school day? Playing with Legos is exciting, but it also builds cognitive development as kids try to build the tallest structure they can. Art projects are fun, but we're also learning all about primary colors, and how to mix and match different hues to find something new! Group games are energetic, but we're also teaching kids to be team players and cheer for others even when it's tough. Our staff spend hours each week preparing activities that your kids will not only enjoy, but that will also challenge them to reach their fullest potential! Ask you child(ren) what their favorite activities are at the Y and let our staff know so that they can plan more! When learning is fun, minds are engaged!

This month we wanted to spotlight all the hard work the members put into painting our pumpkin this month! Everyone helped come up with the idea, and everyone participated in painting the pumpkin this year! Great job, members of the GreenWood YMCA!

Dear Weber and Davis Afterschool Families, This Thanksgiving, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our afterschool families. Your presence in our Y community means so much. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your child’s journey - we’re honored to support their growth, learning, and joy. We also want to give a special shoutout to the families who donated gently used items for our Savers fundraiser. Your generosity helps strengthen our programs and directly supports the experiences we offer to all children. As you celebrate the season, we invite you to try a simple activity with your child: make a “Thankful Tree” together. Cut out paper leaves, write something you're grateful for on each one, and hang them on a branch or wall. It’s a fun way to reflect, connect, and celebrate the good in your lives—big or small.
