Dellwoodian Friends, Well, it’s “so long,” summer. The State Fair is coming to a close. The kids are headed back to school Tuesday and the days are getting shorter. I feel fall lurking. Summer’s my favorite time of year, so the end of August is always bittersweet for me. Nevertheless, there’s lots to be excited about this autumn at Dellwood. Top picks for fall fun at Dellwood (or at least my faves): 1.Dellwood Oktoberfest on Friday, Sept. 27: What’s not to love about German food, beer and bonfires? Prost! 2.Couples Glow Ball Golf on Friday, Oct. 11: There are still many spots left for couples. Sign up in FourTees for this night of zany fun golf after dark. 3.Fall Pontoon Rides: One of the best ways to enjoy autumn in the area is to get out on White Bear Lake to see the fall leaves changing while you soak up some sunshine. Reserve the Dellwood Pontoon for your group in ForeTees! For those of you with kiddos, good luck getting them back into the school routine. And to everyone, enjoy the crispness in the air and everything the club has to offer us this fall! Yours in bad golf, Brienna
Employee Appreciation | Employee Scholarship Program We had over 100 employee's and their family members turnout for our Employee Appreciation Pool Party & Scholarship Presentation this past month. Through the generosity of you, our Members, we raised just over $30,000 for our Scholarship Program!! These funds go directly to those employees who are enrolled and have a college tuition balance, or have just graduated and continue paying down their tuition. This amazing program has certainly enhanced our ability to retain more of our staff this past season. A big THANK YOU to the 70+ Members that donated to this program, to our Advisory Committee Members who volunteered for the event, and our staff that is a huge part of what makes Dellwood our home away from home. Of our 27 applicants, we had four top winners this year for the Scholarship Awards. The margins were razor thin among those who qualified for this scholarship and applied, but these team members stood out amongst their peers, and consistently put forth their best each and every day. Our four winners for 2024 are: Christina Pratt (Golf - Outside Services), Jeneigha Voss (Food & Beverage - Server), Croix Zacharias (Food & Beverage - Server & Banquets), and Karis Weyandt (Pool - Lifeguard). These four all display a tremendous work ethic & attitude. Needless to say, we want to recognize the efforts of these staff members, as well as our entire team, who as a group works towards a common set of values we've identified together: Genuine Hospitality, Consistency, Honesty, Improvement, Accountability... And last not but least, To Embrace a Fun Culture!

Live Music Events I hope you had a chance to partake in one of our six live music events at the Club over these past couple of months (there is ONE more on 9/6!). These were a huge success, turning out as many as 150 in attendance as we filled our patio and wedding lawn (and occassionally our ballroom when it rained) for everyone to enjoy some local musical talent and our culinary team's delicious food specials. Our Director of Banquets & Events, Katie Boyd, booked some great local artists, ranging in genre's while playing to their crowd. We will look to carry the momentum of these events into next season, and will be sharing a 2025 calendar of events in January.
And the rest of the staff (+ Rocco) in attendance!

We’ve made it to FALL! Well, almost. I never want to wish our beautiful summers away in Minnesota, but I think early fall is some of the best weather we get to experience all year. We have a lot to still look forward to at DCC too! Fall golf (obviously), cool nights with a glass of red wine by the fire pits, and member events!! We have a few awesome events coming down the pipeline for you all. Our first is coming up next week, on Tuesday, September 10th. Divin’ Doggies, a Yappy Hour with Tito’s, is back for year 2! We had a great turn out last year and feedback from all of you, so we decided to throw this event again. Join us from 5:30-7:30 at the DCC Pool for one last dip in the water – but with you furry friends! Bring your family, your dog (or dogs if you have multiple!) and relax with us poolside for one more night. We will have appetizers available as well as featured drinks from our friends at Tito’s. This year we are featuring a Salty Dog, Pink Poodle (Cosmopolitan), and All-American Bulldog (Raspberry/Blueberry Mule). Did you know that Tito’s is marketed as the “Vodka for Dog People?” As an organization, they have rescued over 130 dogs and supported thousands of animal-focused non-profits across the country. We are honored to be able to partner with them and serve up some exciting drinks. Cost is $27 per person, all ages welcome. Sign up is live on Foretees now! We also will have our beloved Oktoberfest event again, on Friday, September 27th, starting at 5 pm.We will have a classic beer stein for purchase as well as award-winning Oktoberfest style beers available, most notably Schell’s – brewed right here in MN! German food specials will also be available. Fun for the whole family on a crisp, fall evening. Sign up is live on Foretees as well! We are also launching a new event this fall, a whiskey and cigar night, sponsored by Keepers Heart Whiskey and Sodie’s Cigar and Pipe (Oak Park Heights, MN). This will take place on Wednesday, October 2nd beginning at 5:30 pm. This will be fun night on the patio, learning more about some amazing whiskey with Master Distiller Brian Nation (one of our beloved members by the way) and how to pair with cigars. More information to come but wanted to send a save the date out to you all. Reminder that this event is 21+ only. Hope to see you at one (or all) of these upcoming member events. Happy Fall and cheers!

Hello Members, As the season changes, so do our routines and schedules at home as well as here at the club. Many of our younger members have already started fall sports or even the new school year. The daily routines of many members change from days at the pool and on the course to days at the field, gym, or the vehicle. For the days when you find a moment (and hopefully you find many) to come and enjoy yourselves here at the club, we have been preparing to entertain, engage, and spoil our membership. We have been preparing events and gatherings that will hopefully become memories, and maybe fond stories retold for a lifetime. We have been preparing food, beverages, and experiences that will hopefully keep up with traditions, or spark the start of new ones! Many member traditions and favorite events are on our calendar for the coming months. They include: Oktoberfest, Boo Bash, The Fall Wine Dinner, Thanksgiving (we even do to-go orders!), and Santa Brunch. Some new favorites over the years are the Tito's Yappy Hour at the pool, Bingo & Trivia nights, floral workshops, week of winter elegance, and the DCC end of year celebration with sleigh rides on the course! New this fall is the whiskey & cigar tasting on October 2nd! I know that Chef Peter is looking forward to pairing culinary fare with this tasting as well. Please stay tuned in to the club app for more detailed event information, and sign-ups. Yes, reservations are made through the club app for all events. Also, the weekly connection is a great source for more detailed event information and updates. Before you know it… Holiday party planning time will be upon us! Please give the Events department a call (651) 426-4155 or email Katie@dellwoodcountryclub.com and/or Sarah@dellwoodcountryclub.com to book your holiday fun! See you at the Club! Katie Boyd

Hello Members, Summer 2024 has been busy, fun and rewarding here at the club. It has been a pleasure creating new specials every week, new menus for special events like the Black & Gold, and now wrapping up the end of summer with brainstorming new menus for the bar & grill, and members events to come this fall! This summer was also exciting for The Brickhouse, our sister property in downtown White Bear Lake, as we have expanded to now having Sweets by Brickhouse! Our Sweets shop doors opened July 1st and it has truly been a fun, and exciting experience creating new items for that menu! Our vision with the Sweets by Brickhouse is to source, create, and serve premium ice creams, gourmet chocolates, baked goods, and specialty desserts that meet the cravings and needs of all customers. Of course, keeping with the vision of sourcing fresh, local goods and ingredients. Chef Yia is the creative force behind many of the new baked goods. The Sweets menu to date has been graced with Yia-created specialties such as mini cupcakes, cookies, pots de crème, mini cakes, and more!! When asking Yia what his favorite creation to date was, his reply: “the mochi cake with sliced mango and sticky rice sauce." I could not agree more. It truly is a delicious dessert, and Gluten Free! Yia and I enjoy challenging ourselves, and hope that is reflected in the mini dessert menu that will soon be offered on Dellwood’s banquets and events menu! In fact, many of these desserts will find their way onto the dessert menus at Dellwood CC & The Brickhouse as we establish our systems and recipes. We hope you all enjoy. See you at the Club (and hopefully the Sweets shop as well!) Chef Peter P.S. - We will be at the Taste of White Bear Lake on the 7th - please swing by to say hello! We will be serving up smaller versions of this week's Chicken Tinga Egg Rolls and one of our special dessert creations from Sweets by BH!
