Parking Recommendations - Boll

Because of our unique downtown location we’ve gathered some tips to make parking for your visit to the Boll Family YMCA a little bit easier. Download the Park Detroit app! You can get the Park Detroit app from the App store for iPhone or the Google Play store for Android devices. The app works best if you allow it to use your phone’s GPS. You can find, reserve and pay for parking using the app. Visit parkdetroit.us for more info. Use the metered street parking in the area. If you don’t want to use the Park Detroit app, you’ll need to find a pay station or park in a spot that has its own meter. If you are using a pay station take note of the zone you’ve parked in, you’ll need that info when it’s time to pay. Pay for parking in one of the surrounding garages or lots. The Opera Theater parking garage is located at 1426 Broadway St., directly across the street from the Boll Family YMCA. The Z Parking Garage is located right next door to us and can be accessed from Grand River. Find all nearby parking, rates, and distance onParkMe.com, Be sure to check prior to your trip as rates typically go up on event days. Ride the People Mover! Take the People Mover for free in 2024! Park along the people mover route at Greektown Casino, Renaissance Center, or other lots throughout downtown Ride the QLine for free! Catch the Q-Line at one of its 12 stops and take it for free to the Grand Circus stop.It’s a short walk to the Y from there. Take the bus! There is a SMART bus stop at Woodward and Clifford. There are DDOT stops at Woodward and Grand River and Woodward and Adams. Visit DDOT.info for detailed bus schedules. Walk, run, roll or bike to the Y! Get those extra steps in and add to your workout! Branch out and find free parking a little ways away and walk over. There is a bike rack in front of the building near the people mover station.
