It’s hard to believe that exactly five years ago Aspen Snowmass was on the cusp of what has evolved into a generational “reset” that has dramatically changed the local real estate landscape. I don’t think anyone could have forecasted just how quickly, and how dramatically the real estate market would recover from the uncertainty that had prevailed during the COVID “lockdown” months during the spring of 2020. Over the past handful of years, prices have more than doubled in many locations (and they continue to rise in several neighborhoods), the once rare-air of the $20 million-plus sale is now the heartbeat of upper-Valley market, and the typically predictable real estate sales “seasons” are no longer what they had been for decades.
