STAUNTON-AUGUSTA FAMILY YMCA
Group Fitness classes are included with your membership. If you are not a member, then you can purchase a program participant card at the front desk. Purchase a card of 10 classes for $90.
With a membership you can enjoy use of the indoor Tennis Court, Indoor Track, Indoor Pool, Racquetball/Handball Courts ( 2 ), Basketball Courts ( 2), Teen Center, Playroom ( ages 2 months - 11 years ), Wellness Center, Group Fitness Classes, Locker Rooms, Saunas, Steam Rooms and Hot Tub, and Nationwide Membership at Participating YMCA's. Youth aged 11 and under must have an adult member present with them at all times when using the facility.

PAYMENT OPTIONS Memberships are set up on a month-to-month basis. There is no cancellation fee. Membership dues drafted from a credit or debit card will be charge on the 6th of the month. Dues drafted from a bank account will be charged on the first of the month. This payment is perpetual and will continue until the member submits a cancellation form prior to the 25th of the month.

Membership cancellation must be in writing and submitted by the 25th of the month to take immediate effect. Please, note that we are not a drop-in facility, monthly membership fees cover the entire month; members will be charged regardless of facility usage visits. Guest Policy: Adult members can bring youth or adults as guests for the day. Guests who reside within a 50 mile radius of The SAYMCA must pay the guest fee. Youth: $10, Adult: $20. Anyone who lives further than that may come for free. Active Duty Military: Must present military ID. Enjoy four-consecutive visits per month. Nationwide Memberships ( NWM ): As an active member of the SAYMCA you are part of the Nationwide Program allowing you access to participating YMCAs nationally. Bring your photo ID or membership card when checking in. Members must use their home Y 50% of the time. Medical Membership Hold: In the event of a medical emergency or traveling, your membership can be placed on hold for up to three months. Reinstating your membership within that time frame will not require payment of joining fee.

The YMCA Swim Lesson Curriculum is a core group of aquatic skills every person needs to be safe around water. Students begin with and build upon skills they are ready to learn, helping them to celebrate their successes, build self-confidence, and enjoy learning to swim and water safety. **Parents accompany children in Parent Child I and II for children 6 month-3yrs .

The YMCA swim lesson programs uses a skill-based approach designed to meet the needs of each child or adult. Sign up today to start your or your child’s journey to water safety. ADULT SWIM LESSONS— Lessons for adults are offered through the private and semi-private lessons. Lessons are available for those with special needs with an experienced instructor. Please fill out and submit a private lesson application available at front desk. PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS— Please fill out and submit a private lesson application available at the front desk or online at saymca.org to schedule 30-minute lessons. Receive 15% off when purchasing four or more lessons. IMPORTANT: Please allow several weeks after submitting private swim lessons applications to be contacted by a swim lesson instructor before contacting the front desk. Due to the limited availability of instructors and our extensive waitlist, applicants will be allowed to purchase a maximum of four lessons and will then go back on the waitlist. Water Discovery A (Ages 6 months – 2 years) Specifically designed for infants and toddlers with their parent. This is a beginner class to introduce parent/child teams to the aquatic environment through water exploration with songs, games and rudimentary propulsive movements. Emphasis is placed on basic safety and enjoyable experiences for both parents and children. **Saturdays Only** Water Exploration B (Ages 2-3 years) This class is designed to build on basic introductory skills covered in Parent Child I, such as safety skills and the beginnings of propulsive movement. Parent Child II is recommended for Parent/Child pairs who have already taken Parent Child I and are looking for more skill development. This class is also recommended for Parent/Child pairs whose children may not meet the height/age requirements of the Pike Level Class. **Saturdays Only** ** Parents or caregivers must be in the pool with their infant or toddler during WDA and WEB ** Preschool Aquatics (Ages 3-5 years) Preschool Aquatics is a progressive program that involves five components: personal growth, personal safety, stroke development, water sports and games, and rescue skills. Led by Sarah Williams The kid’s yoga program relies on storytelling to teach valuable lessons on physical, mental and spiritual health. “Yoga, in essence, is exercise for our bodies, our minds, and our breath. So, we're working on everything, but that's hidden in a fun story,” Williams said. Storytelling encourages creative expression, a healthy outlet to express emotions and makes learning fun. Williams continues, “We can be creative through stories. We can use our imaginations and come up with all sorts of things.” $45 Members $60 Non-members

We offer a warm, caring environment where our children have the opportunity to play with school friends and make new ones. This state-licensed program is directed by an experienced leadership team offering homework assistance, healthy snacks, sports (inside and outdoor), arts and crafts, games, and swimming ( at Staunton only ). Space is limited. Registration is ongoing as space allows. Staunton City Schools provide transportation at dismissal.

RSB enables people with Parkinson’s to fight their disease by providing non-contact boxing style fitness that improves their quality of life, sense of efficacy and self-worth. Taught by certified Rock Steady Boxing coaches, these classes have proven that anyone, at any level of Parkinson’s, can actually lessen their symptoms and lead a healthier/happier life. Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays mornings (Times will be determined based on assessment). *Any new participant to Rock Steady Boxing must obtain a physician’s medical release and meet with a coach to schedule an initial assessment. HEALTH & WELLNESS
Neuro Wellness is exercise for people managing the effects of neurological conditions due to stroke, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy and other circumstances. You will be lead through thoughtful and insightful exercise programming by experienced Personal Trainers. The fall session includes working with PT & OT students from Murphy Deming.
The Oncology Yoga program follows a specialized yoga methodology designed to address the physical and emotional needs of cancer patients and survivors. Classes are taught by a certified yoga4cancer (y4c) teacher with knowledge and awareness of the special needs of cancer patients and survivors. *Participants should bring their own yoga mat, yoga blocks, and towels. One-on-one fitness training with certified personal trainers. The YMCA’s Personal Training Program begins with an extensive consultation and health screening to identify any risks and set appropriate goals. Once your fitness level is determined, your trainer will develop a fitness plan customized to your particular abilities, goals and health status (ages 12+).
