4th Quarter 2025
A Season to Celebrate: Wrapping Up 2025 with Gratitude, Heart & Holiday Cheer
As the final quarter of 2025 comes to a close, the North Central West Virginia Home Builders Association wrapped up the year the best way we know how—together. October, November, and December were filled with connection, celebration, service, and a whole lot of heart, reminding us just how special our membership truly is. We kicked things off in October with some Spooky Vibes at our General Membership Event at Mario’s Fishbowl. Costumes, camaraderie, and great conversation set the tone for a fun and festive fall season. In November, members gathered again—this time at Muriale’s—thanks to the generous hosting of Advanced HVAC & Plumbing. These events continue to be a reminder that our strength lies in showing up for one another. December brought moments that truly defined the spirit of NCWVHBA. On December 3, we proudly held our first-ever community service project partnered with the Rosenbaum House Meal Program. Volunteers from First Exchange Bank, First United Bank & Trust, Huntington Bank, Advanced HVAC & Plumbing, ALD Enterprises, JMS Heating & A/C—and of course, Quacker—came together to serve meals and give back in a meaningful way. It was a powerful start to what we hope will become a lasting tradition of service. Just days later, on December 6, members gathered for our beloved “A Cranberry Noel” Christmas Party & Honors Gala—an evening filled with elegance, laughter, and well-deserved recognition. We proudly honored our 2025 sponsors: SRS Building Products, Huntington Bank, Advanced HVAC & Plumbing, Don’s Appliances, and Koval Building Supply, whose continued support helps make everything we do possible. The night also celebrated outstanding individuals within our association: • Shining Star Award – Phil Garber, Bruceton Power Washing • Life Directorship Awards – Danny Adams (Advanced HVAC & Plumbing) and Terri Boone (ALD Enterprises) • Presidential Awards – Patti Shamblin (PAS Consulting), Doug & Jamie Burch (Creek Siding & Roofing) • Associate Member of the Year – Melanie Thompson, Huntington Bank • Career Achievement Award – Kent Pauley, Lanta Contractors Adding to the joy, our silent auction raised over $1,900, benefiting the Toy Fund for WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital—a true testament to the generosity of our members. The giving didn’t stop there. On December 8, Tom Board and his “elves” took on toy shopping for our ten counties, ensuring a brighter holiday season for children in our community. By week’s end, toys were delivered by special elves from Central Supply, Royal Glass, Rising Sun Construction, Kitchens and Baths by Design, Veritas Contracting, and O’Connor Contracting—all coordinated by Tom Board of Builders FirstSource / O.C. Cluss Lumber Company. It was teamwork at its finest. As we reflect on the final days of 2025, we’re filled with gratitude—for our members, our sponsors, our volunteers, and the shared mission that brings us together. With these moments behind us and exciting plans ahead, we look forward to all that 2026 will bring for our organization and its members. Here’s to another year of building community, supporting one another, and doing good—together.
