Sebastien Cwikla He placed first chair clarinet in the 2024 National Youth Band! He was one of only two Manitobans who were accepted to the group. He will travel to Halifax, NS to participate with the group in April! Safe travels and congrats!

We will be holding spring break camps from March 25th to March 28th, Mon-Thurs, for ages 4-9 years old. Spring Break Camps March 25- Mar 28th 2024 – Register online today! There will be no classes during spring break week.

Our music lessons run all year long. Yes, that means summer too! Let us know what you will be up to this spring and summer. If needed, we may be able to adjust your lesson day or time to better suit you or change up classes to a different instrument! Check in with our office staff or email us to make any changes or requests. Friendly Reminder: Please notify us on or before the 15th of the month if you wish to discontinue lessons or classes for the following month. If notified after the 15th you will be charged for a full month of lessons for the following month. Submit cancellations here: https://grooveacademy.ca/absences/

What is LessonMate?
LessonMate is a free-to-you online communication tool between instructors and their students/parents. It is important to view these emails each and every week! Who receives the emails? The emails are sent to the email address you have provided to us for communication. The parent and student are added to LessonMate by our school staff. We can put a max of 3 emails on file for this purpose, should parents or students wish to each receive the LessonMate lesson summary. Once you have been added to LessonMate you will be sent a password. If you don't remember your password you can reset it at any time by clicking the 'Forgot password' link on the sign in page and entering the email address you use for LessonMate. Once your instructor uploads your lesson summary, you will receive an email notification and you will be able to view your lesson plans from a link in the email on any device. LessonMate messages from instructor can include: A summary of what was worked on in class with the student What to practice for next week A message about rescheduling lessons or available make-up dates LessonMate allows you to: Message the instructor directly about make-ups Message the instructor directly with any questions Message the instructor directly about any student issues How to send a message to your instructor: Use the “Message” feature at the bottom of any LessonMate lesson summary from your instructor to send a message to your instructor. Why haven't I received any emails from the instructor? LessonMate messages will be sent after a student’s first lesson. We do need a valid email on file to be able to send the messages. If you have a foreign or international email this can sometimes not allow us to email you (ie. China email address). If you haven’t received a LessonMate email please: Check your junk/spam folder Check that we have your correct email address on file Do I need to pay for LessonMate? No, we provide this service free of charge to you. You do not need to pay to use this service. Do I need to create an account? No, the parent and student are added to LessonMate by our school staff after we have received your enrollment forms. Once you have been added to LessonMate you will be sent a password. If you don't remember your password you can reset it at any time by clicking the 'Forgot password' link on the sign in page and entering the email address you use for LessonMate. Can you send the email to more than one parent? Yes! We can store up to 3 emails on file who will receive the LessonMate emails. This could be parents or students emails if you wish. Please contact us if you wish to add an extra person to your account. I forgot my password, what do I do? Once you have been added to LessonMate you will be sent a password. If you don't remember your password you can reset it at any time by clicking the 'Forgot password' link on the sign in page and entering the email address you use for LessonMate. You should be receiving emails after each class from your instructor via LessonMate. You can also use the message feature at the bottom of the message to contact your instructor. If you are not receiving these emails please notify us!
