The Comical Misadventures of Mr Punch
{{page}}
"Bursts at the seams with wild energy, creative genius, and sheer fun!" - Minnesota History Center
Mr. Punch is a madcap call and response hand puppet romp. When the Baby goes missing, Mr. Punch sets out to the rescue — unleashing mischief and mayhem. Tangling with a crocodile, a policeman and the devil himself, Mr. Punch presents a travesty of manners in which the children must keep the puppets from misbehaving and the Baby triumphs in the end.
For over 400 years, audiences of all ages have delighted in the call-and-response tradition and slapstick humor of Mr. Punch. Watch in glee as the hapless Mr Punch tries to help his wife Judy take care of their baby, to disasterous results. Updated for today's audience, this classic show never fails to entertain.
“Z Puppets Rosenschnoz is Muppet-Class” - Austin Daily Herald
Z Puppets has performed this show at outdoor festivals and performing arts centers across the country, such as the Caponi Art Park, the Smoky Hill River Arts Festival, Elk River Art Soup Festival, Plains Art Museum, and the MN History Center. We are happy to say that each time we perform we cause children to squeal with fits of laughter and adults to gleefully revert into child-like states of goofy innocence.
