Hope you're enjoying the final stretch of summer! We’ve got a few things heating up around here that you won’t want to miss—so let’s jump right in. First up, the buzz is building for Dr. Adam’s Double-Dip Golf Tournament, happening September 5th at Pineway Golf Course. Our presenting sponsor, Dr. Adam Kirkpatrick Family Dentistry, is bringing the fun and then some. This event is going to be absolutely ridiculous in the best way—9 holes, 18 teams, two clubs per player, and an all-out dip competition with a Bloody Mary bar to boot. Trust me, it’s as over-the-top as it sounds. The cost is $200 per team of two, and that includes your golf, the pro-drive on hole #2, and a smorgasbord of dips from our hilarious and competitive hole sponsors. We only have a few team spots left, and they’re going to go fast. There are also just 5 sponsorships left at $300 each, which get you great exposure and a spot in the sponsor dip contest. If you're thinking about joining or sponsoring, now is the time to lock it in. We’re also opening up nominations for the 2025 Distinguished Service Awards. These awards are our community’s chance to recognize those individuals, businesses, and organizations who go above and beyond. Whether it’s a dedicated volunteer, an inspiring leader, a rockstar business, or someone who simply shows up for others again and again, we want to hear about them. The awards include Man and Woman of the Year (ages 40–59), Junior and Senior First Citizen, Small and Large Business of the Year, Business Leader of the Year, the Umpqua Bank Non-Profit of the Year, and one of my favorites—the Frankie Gray “Answering the Call” Award. We’re announcing this early so you’ve got plenty of time to keep an eye out for those worthy of recognition. The nomination deadline is January 9, 2026, and the awards will be presented at our Distinguished Service Awards Gala on March 6, 2026, at Boulder Falls Event Center. Forms are available now at the Chamber office and on our website. Last but definitely not least, our board of directors will be throwing on some aprons and cooking dinner for our Ambassadors on September 10th as a way to say thank you for the hard work they do year-round. We’re so lucky to have the best Ambassador team in the Willamette Valley—hands down—and we’re excited to show them just how much they mean to this organization. That’s it for now! Be sure to grab your golf spot before they’re gone, start thinking about who you’d like to nominate for the DSAs, and help us spread the word. We’ve got a lot of fun and meaningful work ahead this fall, and we’re glad you’re in it with us. Rebecca Grizzle CEO, Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce
