Without the support of these partners, programs like this wouldn't be possible!
Dear Weber and Davis Afterschool Families, This Thanksgiving, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our afterschool families. Your presence in our Y community means so much. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your child’s journey - we’re honored to support their growth, learning, and joy. We also want to give a special shoutout to the families who donated gently used items for our Savers fundraiser. Your generosity helps strengthen our programs and directly supports the experiences we offer to all children. As you celebrate the season, we invite you to try a simple activity with your child: make a “Thankful Tree” together. Cut out paper leaves, write something you're grateful for on each one, and hang them on a branch or wall. It’s a fun way to reflect, connect, and celebrate the good in your lives—big or small. From all of us at the Y, thank you for being part of our family. We’re thankful for you! Sincerely, Ashley Ballew - Youth Development Director
SCHOOL'S OUT CAMP
This week, I will be sending home instructions for Turkeys in Disguise. It's a super engaging activity, so keep an eye out for that!
Please have your child bring a water bottle with their name on it. Watch the weather and dress your child accordingly! Snacks from home are allowed, but we are a NUT-FREE ZONE. No phones in program, please. For pick-up you MUST walk to the portable. We close at 6:00 pm sharp! If you pick up after then (even one minute) you will be charged.
THANK YOU!
QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS?
Did you know that, every week, our YMCA programs engage in activities designed to reinforce learning and lessons that take place during the school day? Playing with Legos is exciting, but it also builds cognitive development as kids try to build the tallest structure they can. Art projects are fun, but we're also learning all about primary colors, and how to mix and match different hues to find something new! Group games are energetic, but we're also teaching kids to be team players and cheer for others even when it's tough. Our staff spend hours each week preparing activities that your kids will not only enjoy, but that will also challenge them to reach their fullest potential! Ask you child(ren) what their favorite activities are at the Y and let our staff know so that they can plan more! When learning is fun, minds are engaged!
WE'RE SO thankful that YOU'RE HERE!

Thanksgiving!
This month we are excited to highlight one of our students, Gracelyn! Gracelyn is one of our best artists at Washington Terrace Elementary's YMCA Afterschool Program! She is always creating fun things out of the simplest materials. You can usually find Gracelyn creating perler beads for her family, helping friends make their own creations, or just chilling reading a book in our calm corner. We love having her here at our YMCA and we cannot see what amazing crafts she makes this year!
