Dear Community Members, It is once again time to thank you for being a part of the YMCA community and to celebrate the good work of the past year. These days, I am finding solace and inspiration in the work that we do together—in the conversations that we have, in the ways in which we continue to show up for our neighbors, and in our continued and unrelenting commitment to the crucial work of creating a world in which all people feel valued, feel safe, and feel welcomed. We can call this the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion and we can call it the sacred work of building community —something our Y has been doing for well over 100 years. We are living through times of change and uncertainty; through these times and all the times to come, our Y will continue to be a place of joy, a place of compassion, a place of connection, and a place that welcomes and sincerely celebrates the many communities we are honored to serve. As we look back and look ahead, I am filled with hope—I know that the generous hearts and expansive minds of our YMCA community will continue to knit our community together through service to one another and to the communities we are lucky enough to call home. There is still so much good work left to do. Here’s to what we can create together,
