Welcome to the Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty 2024 Q2 market report! For the past year or so, we’ve heard more buyers indicating they are concerned about “buying at the peak,” and, of course, that’s a valid concern in any market. Conversely, many of our sellers continue to feel emboldened by continued price increases and relatively low listing inventory in many neighborhoods. It’s always interesting to compare the local real estate market with other areas around the country, and over the past year, there are many U.S. markets that have slowed significantly. That hasn’t been the case in the Aspen / Snowmass area. Despite some communities in the Roaring Fork Valley experiencing a trend of increasing listing inventory, there continues to be solid sales activity, modest price increases in most neighborhoods, and historically tight discounts off the list price.
