oday’s luxury real estate market is ever-changing, making predictions and forecasts a challenge. That’s the space where the award-winning Coldwell Banker Global Luxury® Trend Report shines. Making the impossible seem possible, The Trend Report was created to lend clarity to a shifting luxury market and provide a 360-degree view of the year ahead and into the future so you can navigate the complexities of buying and selling property with confidence. This year, the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury® team collaborated with Censuswide, the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing, Wealth-X, Barton Consultancy and Matt Britton Ventures, LLC to provide insights into wealth, real estate, property investment, luxury spending preferences and emerging trends in technology. They uncovered six trends that are expected to dominate the luxury real estate landscape and drive purchase decisions this year. Many of these trends offer an optimistic outlook for high-end buying and selling in 2024. This is most notably captured in the very first trend, which found that in the last quarter of 2023 sales increased by 4.2% for luxury single-family homes and 14.2% for luxury attached properties compared to the fourth quarter of 2022, while new listings increased by 14.2% for luxury single-family homes and 7.2% for luxury attached properties during the same period. I’m holding a lot of excitement for what’s to come this year. I hope you find the information in The Trend Report similarly encouraging if and when you’re ready to make your next real estate move.
