cfa society orlando's 30th Anniversary celebration We were thrilled to celebrate CFA Society Orlando's 30th anniversary throughout our 2022-23 program year. We commemorated this milestone at our 30th Anniversary celebration on June 21st. Members and guests gathered at the historic Capen House for an unforgettable evening of festivities, networking, and reflection on our incredible journey. We want to thank every member who has been a part of our organization these past 30 years, and we look forward to many more years of serving this community by advancing the investment profession. 2023 Annual dinner We held our 2023 Annual Dinner on February 8th at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park! Seeing so many thought leaders, financial professionals, and students come together for a night of networking, entertainment, and financial markets education was fantastic. This year marks the seventh consecutive year we've hosted a sellout crowd, with over 200 professionals in attendance! Our featured speaker for those not in attendance was Jeffrey Kleintop, CFA, Chief Global Investment Strategist at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. Jeffrey imparted invaluable economic and market insights to our members and guests before answering questions from the audience led by Dan Fasciano, CFA. Global Market Update Breakfast
We kicked off 2023 with our annual Global Market Update Breakfast. Members and guests meet at the University Club on January 11 to hear our featured speaker, Meera Pandit, Global Market Strategist on the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Global Market Insights Strategy Team. Meera led an interactive discussion about the market heading into 2023.
The Society held our 2nd Annual Nine at Night Glow Ball Golf Tournament at The Winter Park Country Club and Golf Course on February 2nd. It was a cosmic golf experience like no other, where members and guests enjoyed the outdoors under the starry sky, teeing off with vibrant glow balls illuminating the course. Congratulations to the winning foursome: Westin Jensen, Matt Arace, Vlad Gonzalez and Joey Devine.
CFA SE Societies Conference
In April, 5 members of CFA Society Orlando attended the CFA Southeastern Societies Conference in Charlotte. Board member Steve Curley, CFA, delivered a presentation on candidate program development and management to over 60 attendees. The society eagerly anticipates implementing the new ideas from the conference and fostering continued collaboration with other societies.
Glow Ball Golf Tournament
On April 18th, our CFA Candidate Open House welcomed more than 20 local candidates, creating an excellent platform for networking with peers and CFA Orlando board members. Attendees gained valuable insights into upcoming changes in the CFA curriculum and received expert exam preparation advice for each level. Thank you to John Richardson, Daniel Stoner, Parker Gerard, CFA, and Christian Craft, CFA, for participating on our panel.

Congratulations to our local investment and finance professionals who became CFA charterholders in 2023, joining the tens of thousands of charterholders worldwide to build a better world for investing. These individuals achieved the highest distinction in the investment management profession by completing the CFA® Program. They've proven themselves by dedicating on average 1,000 hours of intense study to pass one of the most rigorous series of exams in the financial industry.
