THIS MONTH AT A GLANCE
We're always here to listen! If you have any questions, comments, thoughts, or ideas, please let us know! Here are some important points of contact:
NOVEMBER 2025
Help us make our classrooms even better by making a donation from our Amazon wish list!
There will be no YMCA at North Park Elementary on November 26th-28th because of Thanksgiving Break.
SCHOOL'S OUT CAMP
Without the support of these partners, programs like this wouldn't be possible!
we make learning fun- really!
Fridays
This is just a reminder that most Fridays we will be doing a food-related activity. These activities typically take more time than our other activities throughout the week.
We still have spots in our program; tell your friends to come to YMCA Afterschool! It is getting cold, remember to send your child with a jacket, and remind them to take their jackets home with them! The lost and found gets insane in the winter time. Happy Thanksgiving from the YMCA of Northern Utah!

Did you know that, every week, our YMCA programs engage in activities designed to reinforce learning and lessons that take place during the school day? Playing with Legos is exciting, but it also builds cognitive development as kids try to build the tallest structure they can. Art projects are fun, but we're also learning all about primary colors, and how to mix and match different hues to find something new! Group games are energetic, but we're also teaching kids to be team players and cheer for others even when it's tough. Our staff spend hours each week preparing activities that your kids will not only enjoy, but that will also challenge them to reach their fullest potential! Ask you child(ren) what their favorite activities are at the Y and let our staff know so that they can plan more! When learning is fun, minds are engaged!
Thanksgiving break
WE'RE SO thankful that YOU'RE HERE!
Our Monthly spotlight for November is Liam! He was one of our students last year and we are super happy to see him and his sister back this year! Liam is a very responsible and respectful kiddo with a great outlook on everything. He is always open to involving all other kids in the games he's playing, he always participates and helps out with our activities, and he is always listening to the adults when they are talking! I really appreciate you Liam, thank you for being such a great role model for the other YMCA members! - Mr. Monte

Dear Weber and Davis Afterschool Families, This Thanksgiving, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our afterschool families. Your presence in our Y community means so much. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your child’s journey - we’re honored to support their growth, learning, and joy. We also want to give a special shoutout to the families who donated gently used items for our Savers fundraiser. Your generosity helps strengthen our programs and directly supports the experiences we offer to all children. As you celebrate the season, we invite you to try a simple activity with your child: make a “Thankful Tree” together. Cut out paper leaves, write something you're grateful for on each one, and hang them on a branch or wall. It’s a fun way to reflect, connect, and celebrate the good in your lives—big or small. From all of us at the Y, thank you for being part of our family. We’re thankful for you! Sincerely, Ashley Ballew - Youth Development Director
